Unqualified

"Moster, You said you are my husband. But I didn't see any kind of proof. Can you show me something to make me believe your words?" Wu Jinyan suddenly asked Gu Zichen.

Mu Feng breathed out in relief. Thank goodness, she didn't eat the porridge.

"Proof?!"

Gu Zichen's heart leapt out of his rib cage with joy and excitement rushing in his veins. Why didn't he think of this before?

He was concerned only about her health condition and was downcast with her not recognising him, he didn't think of this simple yet reliable solution.

Finally, he could prove his identity as her husband as long as he provided her with some guaranteed evidence.

"You need proof? Alright. I'll show you" Gu Zichen immediately picked his mobile to call his assistant Chen Fei.

What else could be a better evidence to their relationship than their marriage certificate?

But his expression soon turned sour on realising something and he looked just like that of a little child who lost his favourite toy. Admitting his defeat, he maintained a downhearted look.

He felt the world next to him shattering down to pieces while the woman before him acted nonchalant to the changes occurring in him.

Mu Feng was keen about every detail and noticed the look on Gu Zichen's face. He was flabbergasted for a second. Since when did Gu Zichen started to have such expressions on his face?

"What's wrong?" Mu Feng asked with concern.

"I don't have any proof" Gu Zichen said in low volume that's almost inaudible as he directed his vacant gaze towards Wu Jinyan. Men like him had always been victorious in everything they did, but why was he always made to face failures when it came to matters regarding women.

Why in the world did he hand both the certificates to her? Urghh!! How could he be such a fool? Even if he went to turn her house upside down, he was sure he wouldn't find them in an instant. He was so stupid, he didn't even buy her a ring.

"You don't have any proof?" Mu Feng was utterly flabbergasted. How can he claim her as his wife when he didn't have anything to prove it? Not even a marriage certificate? What kind of joke was this?

Wu Jinyan clicked her tongue as she pitied the man gazing at her, like a lost puppy.

"Well... I can..." She said in an impassive tone spontaneously causing the two men in the room to look at her with curiousity. She then continued with a smile that resembled that of a devil's.

"prove you are not my husband"

'Since when did his wife become this sinister?' Gu Zichen was seriously concerned with the sudden changes in her. He always thought she was a simple and silly woman but with the way how she kept acting recently, he doubted his previous ability of discernment.

Wu Jinyan first had a few spoonfuls of porridge and then folding her fingers one by one, she made a countdown making the atmosphere even more tense.

Ten! Nine!...Three! Two! One!

Gu Zichen was oblivious why she suddenly started counting numbers with a devilish smirk on her face as though she was about to reveal something magnificent.

As though she had calculated the time accurately, the changes in her body occurred without any delay by the time she ended counting.

With a groan, she clutched her chest. Her breathing became shallow and rapid. A streak of red spots appeared on both of her hands while her lips turned blood red and were significantly swollen.

Gu Zichen was unaware what happened for her to cry suddenly but he promptly realized something was wrong with her. He instinctively pressed the emergency bell in the room seeking the doctor's presence.

On the other end, Mu Feng shook his head in annoyance. This little woman really know how to anger him. He didn't know what to do with this stupid girl. She really went too far this time.

"You stupid, reckless woman" Mu Feng scolded her. His sharp gaze would have made others to shiver in fear but the woman before him simply rolled her eyes, annoying him further.

She just ate seafood to which she was allergic. How come she's still in a mood to play? She was seriously getting on his nerves.

"Jinyan, what's wrong?" Gu Zichen moved closer to her and held her shoulders. He tried to find the reason behind the sudden abnormalities. In response, all he received was a cold stare mocking him. Her reaction made him to freeze.

"She's allergic to seafood and you bought her seafood porridge" Mu Feng answered immediately to Gu Zichen.

Does she hate her husband that much? She was being too harsh. No man could come out of that guilty feeling. Mu Feng shook his head helplessly. Gu Zichen was sure one special man who deserves to marry a woman like Wu Jinyan. SERVES HIM RIGHT.

"WHAT?!!" Gu Zichen's heart stopped beating. He gazed at Mu Feng with bewilderment written all over his face. What did he just hear?

Unable to believe the reality of how he unintentionally caused her death, Gu Zichen fell into a daze. He clearly read every single detail of hers or he thought so. Now how in the world did she suddenly become allergic to seafood?

'YOU ARE DEAD, CHEN FEI! How dare you miss such important detail?' Gu Zichen cursed his assistant for not performing well.

The doctors who hurried into the room were well informed about her problem by Mu Feng. Soon, appropriate medications were injected into her body making her condition much better.

"Mister, do you still think you are my husband? You don't even know me?" As soon as the doctors left the room, Wu Jinyan sneered looking at the man who was still in a daze.

Snapping back to reality, Gu Zichen stared at Wu Jinyan. She seemed just like a mighty dragon that woke up from long slumber. He wanted to speak but nothing came out. He couldn't deny her words. They were heartbreaking but also true.

When he almost caused her death, how could he deserve her?

"Don't you ever say you are my husband. You should know that you are more than unqualified to become my husband" Wu Jinyan unleashed all the hatred and disgust bundled up in her heart.

With the way how rude Li Xiaoyi behaved with her and how Gu Zichen reacted on Mu Feng mentioning her name, she was sure they were more than just acquaintances.

She could be a little stupid and ignorant at times, but not always.

That man whom she thought was a gentleman.. that man to whom she got married... that man was just like any other rogue, two timing.
