Chapter 7

Bradfield lake view mansion

Mrs. Bradfield, Rosie, Hunter and Eva are having their breakfast

"Three days later we will go to main mansion to celebrate your grandfather's birthday inform the school and apply for a leave" said Mrs. Bradfield

Everybody was silent

Mention of main mansion Eva turned gloomy but still she replied

"Yes, grandma"

"When is your next show scheduled" asked Mrs. Bradfield to change the mood

"Ahh! You want to come and see me live" asked Eva enthusiastically

Eva is a professional violinist and does shows, very few authentic music lovers know her, even her own family who lives in main mansion doesn't know it.

"No, I don't want to" said Mrs. Bradfield sternly

"Even this time you want to watch the recorded version on television" said Eva slyly

Shocked Mrs. Bradfield said "How do you know that I watch them"

After giving a teasing smile to her grandma, Eva stood up and said

"let's go Uncle Hunter"

"You.. answer me first" asked Mrs. Bradfield

"Not telling you" shouted Eva without looking back

"How does this bart knows, Rosie did you tell her" asked Mrs. Bradfield

"No, why would I" answered Rosie while holding back her laugh

"She got everything from that idiot, not a single quality she got from me" said irritated Mrs. Bradfield

"Hey, stop calling your husband idiot" said Rosie for which Mrs. Bradfield just rolled her eyes

Rosie continued "Yeah she does remind me of William, but you should be glad that she didn't get his scheming and shamelessness"

" I have a feeling one of my grandchildren got this quality, who could it be" asked Mrs. Bradfield while recollecting her four grandchildren

'I think I know who got that' thought Rosie

Three days later in the Main mansion

Evening

Rosie is busy in kitchen and Hunter is with the guards outside

Bradfield family assembled in the living room

George is speaking to his mother Mrs. Bradfield, Amber Eva's mother is busy checking some shopping sites with Emily in her phone leaving Eva alone who just sat there silently

Slowly sky turned dark, feeling bored Eva stood up and walked to the large window

Sky was dark with few clouds, revealing the full moon making her lost in the view that she didn't notice a pair of eyes watching her intently.

Not getting any response for her son Mrs. Bradfield raised her head to ask but she saw her son staring at his daughter Eva without blinking

'She's grown up into a talented and beautiful young woman' thought George.

"She reminds me of William" said Mrs. Bradfield

Her words pulled George from his thoughts, and he frowned

'She is like my father, no way my father was an exceptional man' thought George

Swiftly he changed the topic

Then

A young man entered the living room silently, but he was noticed by George and Mrs. Bradfield as they were about to greet him, he put his finger across his mouth signaling them to be silent. He walked to Eva and stood next to her

Sensing someone's presence Eva turned, her initial expressionless face lit up and threw herself into his arms

"Ethan, you are back" said Eva while hugging him

"Oh! Sis, you surely missed me" said Ethan hugging Eva tightly

Four years back Ethan enrolled himself in Business management course in a university far from his home so that he could stay away from this gloomy house, yeah for him home without his sister Eva is gloomy and lonely. He specially choose this to come back by finishing everything in hurry.

Hearing Ethan's words realization hit Mrs. Bradfield

'Oh! God has Ethan got that idiot's shamelessness, hah how amusing to see how George will handle Ethan' thought Mrs. Bradfield

Ethan released Eva and started looking her from top to bottom and with a frown asked "You became thin, are you not eating well"

Eva just rolled her eyes

"Aren't you bored asking the same question every year" asked Mrs. Bradfield sarcastically

while walking towards her grandchildren probably her two favorite grandchildren

"Hello grandma, you look young" said Ethan and gave a hug.

Mrs. Bradfield sighed and hugged back

"Ethan what a pleasant surprise" said Amber happily taking her son into her arms. "Hey, mom" said Ethan and hugged her

"Welcome home my dear brother" said Emily and was about to go in for a hug but Ethan gave here a nod and smile and walked to his dad

"Hello, Dad" said Ethan unnaturally

George felt the invisible distance between them but still went to hug her his son, Ethan hugged back

Ethan started distancing himself when he found out the reason behind his family behavior towards Eva

"Oh, my" screamed Rosie who just entered living room

"Hello Rosie dear, did you miss me" asked Ethan as he walked to her in big steps and hugged her

Emily felt sore in heart, he is willing to hug a maid rather than me his own elder sister

Rosie hugged him back

"Madam dinner is ready" said Rosie after breaking the hug

"I am hungry, why don't we have early dinner" said Ethan while holding Rosie's hand

Rosie slapped his hand and left to serve the dinner

"Yeah, let's have dinner" said George

Full family had dinner with small talks in between

During dinner Mrs. Bradfield observed Ethan who paid attention to feed Eva by placing food onto her plate and totally ignoring the stares form the rest of the family.

After dinner everyone returned to their respective rooms
