Lately, I had been happy. Not only because Chaoxing and I had finally been going steady but because we had managed to sort everything out in Chu and Han state. The two states were now functioning as one. And all the officials that had been chosen were all good and intelligent people. They were all capable of leading the court which made me feel at ease. Chaoxing had come up with the idea of electing ten people in a council. Ten people that came from both Han and Chu.

They were in charge of keeping the daily peace in the two states. Everything was now peaceful. And the harem, well, the concubines had not left yet which was making Chaoxing a little bit angry. And Consort Rong Hua was getting closer to her date of delivery. This eight months had been hard because I had to keep a very close eye on her considering that other concubines might want to harm her or her baby.
