The Duke's Unavoidable Attraction

"When is she coming out? It's been three days." Irina and the others stayed inside the hall pacing around and waiting for Lucia. She was becoming desperate and she entered the library many times again to read and find more about the enchantment.

The Duke came out from the other door one day later but he came in a horrible condition, with several cuts and injuries in his arms and legs. However, he never let out a single sound of distress. His eyes seemed to be enduring so much pain, they appeared exhausted.

Irina wondered what had happened but didn't dare to ask. Even Blaze was abnormally quiet when the Duke came out.

Irina gave him the medicine to cure all of his injuries. It worked wonderfully but not as fast as ever. She was worried as she knew that the Duke had half of the soul of Lucia, he should be keeping his body in great condition if not her mistress will suffer.

She came back.
