The moment that changed everything.

„Come on Mom I don't want to go there!"

„No complaining! It's good for you and your body! You will have fun there and maybe you will meet some new friends!"

„Yeah, like that persons you spend two weeks with, get they're numbers but never call them because it would be too awkward for both of you?"

„Don't be silly, now come on you're late!"

Yeah, these are going to be nice two weeks. Goddammit, I already hate it! Two weeks in a camp full of massive sports-addicted Bullies as a 13 years old boy who is thankful for getting a C- at sports! So here I am, standing in the middle of a group of people I definitely don't belong to. Suddenly, I saw a boy who looked nearly as lost as I was, so I went over to him to get a slight chance to have a friend in there. He also didn't look too sportive, so I'll give it a shot.

„Hey Man, you're looking a bit lost in here!"

„W-what! Is it really that obvious? I didn't want to go to a sports-camp, but my parents put me in here, no questions asked!"

„Same goes for me! What's your Name?"

„Brian. What's your Name?"

„My Name is Timo. Now Brian, as we both know we are basically garbage in here among all those other people. We're not so good in sports, are we?"

„Barely passed in that subject! Hate it!"

„Me too! Now.."

At this moment, one of the sports teachers for that two weeks stepped into the giant gym we were all standing in.

„Welcome, ladies and gentlemen! For the next two weeks, I will be your main sports teacher! My Name is Thomas! Nice to meet all of you! First of all, please get yourselves dressed and then come back here! First we'll be playing some Volleyball!"

Could've gone worse. Thank god it's not rugby or soccer were you can be fouled. So I went to the changing room and got my sports clothes on. Brian was already finished and wanted to stand up, when suddenly a huge massive boy bumped into him. While Brian was laying on the ground with obvious pain, the boy just continued walking as if nothing happened.

„Hey! Don't you want to excuse?" Goddammit, what am I doing here?! That guy just needs one finger to knock me out!

„Hm? For what loser? That guy just tripped over his weak legs, didn't he?"

The poor Brian was so scared that he just nodded.

„But...!"

„Do I hear any complaints?!"

„Do I see you in the gym in three seconds?!"

The boy turned around. Thank god, Thomas saw everything. That guy, thank god, then went away.

As Brian and I wanted to go to the gym, the teacher told me to wait for a moment.

„How do you like it here?"

Couldn't he ask something else? That's so awkward! But I decided to be honest.

„Honestly, I was forced to be here. I didn't ever tried to be good in sports and I will never be. I..."

„And you never even tried to like sports? It's okay if you give up on something after you really tried to do it. But giving up on something without even trying to do it is just weak!"

I didn't know what to say after that. He was right, yes he was! I am lazy and weak! I just ran down to to the gym. I ran, until I was standing next to Brian, who was watching a few people playing Volleyball.

„Oh, here you are! You have to watch this, they're really good!

I just said nothing and watched the play. The one guy punched the ball and it moved to the other side of the field. The one guy in the back row somehow managed to get the ball and sent it perfectly to the guy who was standing in frond of the net. He took the ball overhead an send it flying. The other guy began to run. While running, his arms moved behind his body. After three steps, both of his feet landed on the ground and with his arms moving forward, he jumped. No, he was flying! With unbelievable power and speed, his one arm moved backwards an forward again, spiking the ball down to the ground with a sound that gave me literal Chills. I was just standing there, with my mouth and eyes wide opened. After a few seconds, my mouth was finally able to close. There was just one simple word filling my whole brain and heart: VOLLEYBALL
