Hall Of Mirrors - 2

The stare-off between Sehyoon and the puppet lasted for half an hour. Inwardly, Sehyoon hoped it had brought Chan and the other guy enough time to get away and find somewhere to hide, or at least figure out a way to get out of the hall of mirrors. In the meantime, he had to think of how to deal with the puppet and leave the hall of mirrors as soon as possible. No one would want to stay here any longer than was necessary.

With a pounding heart, Sehyoon's mind raced as it tried to come up with a solution to the problem before him. The puppet seemed to not have any intentions to move for now, and thankfully, that meant more time for him to come up with something.

This place was a narrow hall with mirrors decorating the walls. Each one was closely stuck together and left no space in between. On both sides, Sehyoon and the puppet's reflections were multiplied, and nothing seemed out of place. There was nothing else but these mirrors, and the one man and puppet in a stand-off.

Being unable to think of something, and believing that Chan and the blinded guy had had enough time to get away, Sehyoon turned on his heel and left the puppet behind. In the real world, Sehyoon was an idol, and although he had great physical fitness from dancing, there was no way he would be able to easily fight against something supernatural; so running was all he could do at the moment.

Along a different hallway, Chan was still running, and Gyeol was stumbling along behind him. It wasn't known how far they had gotten from Sehyoon and the puppet, but the sounds coming from there had disappeared long ago, so surely it was much safer where they were now.

Deeming it safe to do so, Chan stopped for a moment to take a breather, and clutching his chest, he willed his heart to return to its normal rhythm. However, before he could relax, a strong sucking force came out of the mirror on the side, and his body was pulled towards its location; there was no way for him to fight back, and all of his struggles were wrought senseless.

Blinded by the strings still stitching his eyes shut, Gyeol did not know what was happening, and Chan could only helplessly stop struggling as he was sucked into the mirror.

Heart pounding, breath hitching, palms sweating, Sehyoon kept running away from the puppet and didn't notice that the puppet was now starting to give chase, and was close to catching up with him. Then something caught Sehyoon's attention from the corner of his eye, causing him to stop in his tracks.

At the start of the hall, nothing had seemed amiss with the mirrors - in fact, they just appeared to be ordinary mirrors you would see anywhere else. Large and frameless, they stood tall against the walls and gave off a chilling feeling, especially with how everything was reflected in them and nothing could be hidden. So it was a surprise when an anomaly had appeared amongst the normal mirrors: it was just as tall and just as imposing, but the only difference was that this one had a white frame.

With the momentary distraction, the puppet had caught up and had reached out with its arms to grab hold of Sehyoon. Sensing the danger, Sehyoon dodged to the side, and the puppet lost its footing, causing it to fall towards the white-framed mirror.

The expected smashing of the glass didn't happen as a sucking force appeared at this moment, and stopped the puppet from falling for a second before pulling it into the mirror's shiny surface. As though there were no barriers in the way, the puppet disappeared into the mirror, leaving behind a bewildered Sehyoon.
