Chapter 42 - Burdens

Alright I finish rewrite the first couple chapters I just want to tell major changes. First is his appearance is had change into what the young jade emperor look like. The other is that his personality would be much laid like date from dmc with sprinkle of the real jade emperor.

Anyway enjoy this chapter and warning the next chapter is another training for his wife. I know it's annoying by I want to give them some screen time because I don't want to rush their relationship. Now then enjoy!

After Samshiel took Vanessa on a date, he began to walk his way to have date with Rebecca and finally train her inside the inner world. He wasn't sure if she would still love him knowing he is a killer even though she already told him that she would follow him.

Samshiel was getting annoyed because of the clouds that had started to form, he reached out his hands and used [Natural force] dissipating the clouds. Nodding to himself, he continued his casual walk.

He thoughts were interrupted as he saw an old nun holding a short haired child. When the child Samshiel she immediately smiled while the nun gave calming gaze.

"Samshiel-nii!!"

It was of course Marie who became attached to Samshiel when he often visited Rebecca. The nun was mother Theresa Rapual the person that has trained both Mereoleona and Fugeleon. Though that lioness was stubborn to not join their training.

"How has it been Samshiel are you here to visit Rebecca?"

"Ah yes I promised her that I would take her on a date."

"I see just make sure you don't break her heart or else."

"Of course I won't, anyway how have you been Marie? "

"Its been amazing! Mother Theresa has been telling us all sort of wonderful stories!"

"Hahaha really now tell me about it later okay."

He patted her head as she pouted at Samshiel for not giving her attention. This only made him sweat drop as he doesn't know what that fellow sis-con of his would do. Saying his farewell to them, he proceeded to walk towards Rebecca's home.

When he finally arrived, he saw Rebecca seemingly cleaning her home. Samshiel seemed to have come early so he did not mind waiting.

Seeing this his face had a mischievous smile, he used his shadow teleportation surprising her by hugging her from behind. She yelped in surprise while trying to escape until she heard the person.

"Waifu acquired!"

"WAAHH S-Samshiel put me down!"

"Hahaha alright!"

Listening to her command, Samshiel slowly put down Rebecca who pouted that made him chuckled a bit. He saw a sweat drop that he instantly wiped giving Rebecca warm smile.

"Now did you forget about today or not Rebecca-chan~?"

" O-Of course not it's your fault going early."

Moments later her sibling came outside to see the commotion then immediately gave thumbs up as they drag their sister to get dress.

Samshiel used telekinesis to remove all the dust and dirt from her home making it extremely clean. While waiting he began to use his [Dream energy] in order to further stabilize the energy.

Few minute later Rebecca finally revealed herself wearing the dress that she should have worn when he met Asta. Samshiel took the whole minute to appreciate her beauty that made her blush from his gaze. Her sibling quickly went inside giving the couple some personal space.

"D-Does it look weird? Should I change??"

"No no you look gorgeous and have this mature aura around you like a divine angel!"

"Thank you Samshiel."

"No problem, now then where to Rebecca-chan??"

"I-I thought you had prepare something??

"Yes but we will do that in the end now you decide where we go."

"I see why don't we go in the plaza I heard they going to be a show."

Samshiel thought that this show may be just distraction for the citizen to forget the invasion that happened recently. It was a good plan as they still don't know who betrayed them and allowed the enemy to enter the barrier.

The streets were full of many couples going on a date while they watch what's seem to be circus. There weren't any magic show as this world is full of magic and only had few theater.

They both enjoyed watching the people perform until they decided to go shopping for some clothing at first Rebecca wanted to reject but Samshiel told her it was not a problem. This cause her to think if she was really worthy to be loved by Samshiel who had other lover who were much stronger and beautiful.

This caused Samshiel frown a bit that had him grab Rebecca's waste kissing her making people, mostly woman, walk while blushing.

"Rebecca don't think of them just think about us okay?"

She didn't say anything only nodded. In truth Samshiel was the one who had much trouble telling her his actions yet it did not show on his face.

Entering and buying few clothe for herself and her sibling, they were expensive but nothing that Samshiel couldn't afford, heck he could even buy the whole store if he wants. While walking to grab something to eat, Samshiel saw a pair of beautiful scarlet earnings that had angel wings wrap around their crimson gems.

'Angel huh…'

While making mental note, he bought the earnings and hiding then from Rebecca who was looking around the store. She bought some toys for pems while books for other sibling.

After doing a little shopping they went to nearby tavern and made Sshielan felt déjà vu as if he had seen this place before. Getting a table, they began to order while he still felt something.

His eyes widen when he saw Asta, Mineral and Luck coming inside. Samshiel didn't know if he should cry or not about the very fact that this is where Asta should have dated Rebecca and it made him nervously chuckle.

Ignoring them, he began to pay attention to his date. They talk about Samshiel's world because Rebecca was extremely curious about it, she was surprised the world had no mana but he told her they still had weapons that could destroy a country.

"Rebecca I want to ask… you don't need to answer if you don't want to but….what happened to your parents?"

This made her stop for a moment and began to think hard as she resolved herself to tell him.

"They died few years back, my mother died when she gave birth to pem while my father died few months later from exhaustion…."

Samshiel now felt thorns piercing his heart for asking but he knew it was eventually going to happen. He knew the pain of losing someone especially a family that you loved so much.

"I'm sorry for asking…"

"You don't need I eventually need to tell you right? You already done may good things to me, you deserve to know my life."

"I see but I know this is random but…. if you are able revive them would you do it?"

This made her once again think hard while Samshiel waited for an answer as he began to resolve himself to tell her his past. The souls of the Jade Emperor and Samshiel had completely fused together and made Samshiel think that the Hade Emperor's memories were his. Of course he knew they weren't but they still influenced his current situation.

"No I won't take it….my parents deserve to rest for their hard work and it would be selfish of me. But at the very least I want to see them one last time."

This made Samshiel's very being shake as he did not expect such answer. He thought she would accept reviving her parents but she didn't. This made Samshiel think of his father and his last wish. He did not want to live longer but only wanted happiness for his family.

Samshiel wasn't selfish enough to just take someone else's eternal rest from them. He felt that a burden was lifted from him as he finally accepted his father's death and doing his last will.

"Cereza can tell me where is my father's soul currently residing?"

This made Samshiel smile from the bottom of his heart as his father had finally deserved his peace. Now he resolved himself to tell Rebecca his actions.

"I see thanks for the answer….now it's my turn."

This made Rebecca flinch as she felt the worried emotions of Samshiel. Unknown to her, she could feel his emotion this made her gaze at him in concern.

"Rebecca…. I have killed countless people and do not regret it. I am man who would kill innocent in order to protect people important for me and wouldn't hesitate to fight anyone that gets in my way."

Even after saying this he didn't feel fear or distrust from Rebecca but instead felt the overwhelming emotion of love and care for him. She held Samshiel shaking hands and he only heard her tender voice.

"Samshiel even if I'm just a common girl that you can find anywhere but if I needed to choose between my siblings over a stranger then I will still choose my family.

This made Samshiel smile as another burden was lifted. He stopped time and walked over to Rebecca who was surprised to find everyone unmoving but knew it was Samshiel. He gave her a passionate kiss while he placed the earrings on her and said..

"Thank you for loving me and I hope you like them, Rebecca-chan."

"This! Thank you Samshiel!"

They resumed their meal while Samshiel used his sharingan to show everything he had planned which surprised her but she calmed herself as she had prepared herself when she found out his past. While they enjoyed their meal, some drunkard went for Rebecca but before he could say anything.

"Oh it's seem this place had some insects crawling around."

The very being of the drunkard shook as from below shadow hands drag him as he scream the drunkard saw Samshiel neutral smile in his final moments.

Of course, no one was able to notice him even Rebecca because from Asta's table they had started a commotion which became a distraction. Seeing this, Samshiel went and grabbed Rebecca as they finished having their meal.

"Are you ready you won't be able to see them for a while!?"

"I know but I'm not worried since you told me time work differently in there."

"Alright then let's go!"
