Chapter 352 - Is that how it is?

The Game functions perfectly in sync with the human mind and could produce pain enough that anyone feels a sense of realism.

If they were to die, it wouldn't disrupt their brainwaves to kill them like certain shows but it is still painful that people would rarely choose class oriented in battle. 

"It's a success! We can finally release the game to the general public in a few weeks time!"

"Yeah!!"

After development over the past decades of research finally broke through and let people experience the surreal world of Satisfy.

Caelum did not feel any excitement as for him it was a meager thing when his aim is to grow stronger. 

He was not yet allowed to go home and needed his presence for anything that would require his help. 

For the next few hours they made sure everything was set before a separate group went to start announcing the day where the game could be played by everyone that had a VR capsule.

They had already prepared everything beforehand where the money from the game could be exchanged for real money which meant the player could make a living inside the game. 

"Lim-Nim, I want to ask a favor."

"What is it?"

"Can you send my girlfriends some capsules for them to play it early?"

His words shook everyone but none compared to Yoon Nahee who can't believe someone younger than her already had a relationship and not just one but multiple. 

"Wait!? Girlfriends??"

"Yeah? Never heard of polygamy?"

"But that thing is illegal!?"

"Illegal? Pffffft like hell they would tell me what I should do. Anyway, can you do me a favor?"

"Yeah that won't be a problem."

The woman next to him couldn't utter a word, unable to move on from her shock. It was far too unreal for someone to have multiple women aiming for the same man. 

Seeing her existential crisis warily smile before continuing their meeting ending at sunset and it had been decided that the game would be released two weeks to the public. 

It seems fast but they had long planned everything and promoted their game through social media and other networks. Many already pre ordered the VR capsule and only waited for the game to officially launch. 

"See you tomorrow."

Caelum headed his way home when he decided to grab dinner at a restaurant arriving at a local place. He spotted a table before ordering some food observing people until spotting a group of men at the other table. 

They were the people that were with Mia Woo the other day. He decided to ignore them. Taking a cup of Soju barely felt any drowsy but concentrated on things he needed to do. 

He only needed to wait for at least six months to finally play the game for himself, which is enough time for players to theoretically reach level 200 or higher. 

By the looks of things, it would be an extremely competitive game like the classic MMORPG. 

Before long his food arrived and began devouring them slowly and started to miss the meal that Nino cooked for him which was thousand times better than his eating but didn't complain too much. 

A familiar scent came that opted his gaze to turn and see a blonde woman followed by another black haired woman. The two were Sophie and Anna who went past him taking their seats. 

He did not care much, only focusing on this meal, however it was disrupted when a voice called to him.

"Hey isn't that the person who was the same as us the other day?"

They all turned towards Anna pointing and saw a lone young man eating by himself that appeared intimidating when his gaze met with theirs, making themselves feel sudden pressure telling them not piss him off. 

"Yeah, Mercer-nim here!"

He smiled gave friendly wave before standing up approaching them and noticing murderous gaze of particular young man who had buzz red hair cut.

The young man did not hide his wariness and Ill intent towards him but it made him tickle at how childish his intimidation. 

"Oh it isn't Anna. Fate truly works in mysterious ways. Are these people your friends? Greetings, my name is Caelum Mercer."

He did not hide his own interest towards stealing the woman from them. They reek of foolishness and filth that he wants to vomit and trample them under his feet. 

"Yeah this is David, Darryl….."

Anna excitedly introduces her friends and finds that she is blind when choosing a friend like Saki. If he had not saved her then the fate she headed would be the same as Anna. 

It pisses him off when they are being manipulated for the benefit of others and makes them a coward compared to his past self. 

He never cared much how his money was acquired as long as it didn't harm others and would gain them with his own hard work. 

Caelum even refused a job offer from one of his wife, Mary, from her father due feeling that it would just take advantage of his kindness.

"And this is Gunner, Sophie's boyfriend."

"So you're the one who helps them?"

"Yeah."

"If that is the case why don't you join us? At least give our thanks."

His tones and mannerism obviously had hidden intentions that were mostly greed. He nodded before taking a seat and started to order their meal.

"I was wondering how you move like that? Without touching those guys?"

"It appeared that way since your eye is too slow to process my movement."

"Come on, tell us the truth."

"It's a technique called Lai or hand pocket similar to quick draw."

"What are you saying you like Bruce Lee or something?"

The one who spoke was Sophie who has been silent till now. She suddenly felt anxious while he was with them as something would soon happen and felt her heart has been turmoil ever since yesterday.

"Yeah, I'm a martial artist."

"Martial artist? You smash brick and block of wood?"

One of them jokingly said and thought that their initial fright was slowly disappearing. Caelum ignored his remarks and took a cup of alcohol.

"Hey, Are you interested in joining our business?"

"Whatever that is, I don't want to be part of."

He bluntly said, surprising him Gunner but opted evilly smirked since the offer would tempt anyone. 

"Even if that business can land you large cash?"

"Money isn't an issue. It only blind you, perhaps you experience hardship where you lost money?"

This made him fall into utter silence to be seen through and no one had known about his personal life even his friends. Caelum's eyes were the same as his if he had fallen to despair. 

"Hey, the Money is offered is not small, it's at least 400,000 won."

"No, thank you. A simple meal and way of living is enough as it serves the purpose."

Caelum is a person whose only desire is otherworldly and never affected by the worldly desires where they are stagnant. They grew increasingly frustrated to tempt him and in the end gave up.

"How about having sex with Anna would change your mind?"

His words only made him swallowed a late pill foolish to speak about sex in the face of Caelum who dislike throwing the words casually. 

"Is that how it is? No, I am not someone desperate in having sex. Though, I'm not saying you're not good looking, Anna."

He had over millions of wives including Nakano's sister, Saki and Miko. His not one who would go for prostitute even if he experience the incident with Saki again. 

Anna slightly blushed for some reason and never heard anyone praise her beauty. Caelum was talking about her heart that is too innocent for own good. 

"Well I lost my appetite, but thanks for the meal. A piece of advice, you'll find yourself lost once you realize the truth."

Caelum stood up leaving them behind slightly furious. He took out a talisman placing them into the two women in case something happened while the other one placed a Gunner guy placing a curse.

Before heading back towards his apartment to have a rest. The early the day he went outside finding a small park close by and went ahead performing a light exercise. He had grown stale from the lack of challenge but did mind since it would eventually come to him.
