Chapter: 4... Lost

NICOLE P.O.V

I dig into my delicious breakfast of bacon and eggs, when my phone 'meows' a message notification. I quickly grab my phone to check the message. 'It's Sam!!'

"Sorry, guys gotta take this real quick." I started and headed out the kitchen. Just as I reached outside Sam called.

"Hello, Sam!" I chirp excitedly.

"What took you so long?" Something in his tone sent chills down my spine.

"I-I'm sorry Sam it was noisy, I had to go outside quickly." I trembled slightly trying my best to keep myself in check, little did I know Alice was standing right behind me listening to every word I say.

"I'm sorry Nicole I just had a rough day and needed to talk to you." I instantly perk up again.

"It's perfectly fine Sam, I understand." I purred softly.

"So any plans today sweetheart?" Sam's voice was soft and gentle, completely hooking me.

"Nothing yet, but I might go wander around the town, and do some shopping later on." I said thoughtfully.

"Space for me to join?" I practically jump with excitement.

"YES! There's always space for you with me!" I chirped excitedly.

"Good, Good, let me know when you are heading out so I can go and meet up with you." My heart was racing in excitement as the call ended.

"So, who's Sam?" Alice's voice made me jump.

"Alice!" I hissed. "You nearly gave me a heart attack."

Alice's face was stern and lined as she stared at me. "Fine, Fine, he's a guy from school we have been going out on a few dates, but we aren't dating just yet."

Alice nodded and headed back inside, joining the others, I followed behind her lost in my own world.

I slowly sit down again and finish my meal. "So what's on today's agenda?" I asked, smiling.

"Leo and I, are going to watch a movie today." Alice answered.

"What movie?" Asked Alaric in a tone I have never heard before.

"We aren't sure yet." Alice replied thoughtfully.

"Can I tag along?" Asked Alaric receiving an almost instant death glare from Leo.

"Sure!" Alice replied, completely oblivious to the two males' contest.

"Great!" Alaric answered smiling. 'WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, HOLD UP...ALARIC CAN SMILE!!!!????'

I tried my best not to let my jaw drop on the floor. Leo glared a hole into his brother who was about just as oblivious to it as Alice was to their contest seconds earlier.

Jayden grinned. "Can I come too?"

"Sure, infact Nicole, why don't you guys come too we can all have some fun." Alice smiled and I instantly liked the idea.

"Sure!! Lemme ask real quick!!" I quickly type a message to Sam. The reply was practically instant. ~sure!! :*~ "We're in too!!"

Leo looked completely deflated, I almost felt sorry for him. I wink at Leo and get a smile and a wink back which almost made me wish I had never met Sam... But from the very start these 3 super hotties all went for Alice, I mean sure she's a beautiful girl who can take care of herself, but I am also an attractive girl, attractive enough to give her a run for her money. A dark emotion stirred in my insides making me feel sick. 'Remember Sam!! He is more attractive than any of these idiots!!' I reminded myself trying to get rid of the emotion that popped up.

"... Nicole, are you going upstairs first or am I?" Alice's voice broke through my dark thoughts.

"Hmm? Sorry, I wasn't listening, please repeat." I said blushing.

"I said: We need to get ready it's like 9 am already, then I asked: Nicole, are you going upstairs first or am I?" She repeated slowly as if to a child.

"O! Well I think I'll go first, I take way longer to get ready than you do!" I chirp smiling.

"That's cause you put all that crap on your face and do all those weird things with your hair." Alice rolled her eyes.

"Shut up, at least I try to look good."

"See, that's the thing, I DON'T HAVE TO!!" I know Alice was joking, we always joked and teased like this, but today she just popped up on my bitch radar.

"O, shut up." I joked trying to keep myself in check. "Well, better get going then." I got up and headed up stairs to go get ready...

ALICE P.O.V

I waited till I was sure Nicole was out of earshot before I started my investigative duties. "Who is Sam?" I asked the 3 males while starting to do dishes.

"Well, I only know of one Sam, but I'm not sure if I should say anything about him." Alaric answered

"Same." Leo and Jayden said in unison.

"Guys I need any and all information you have on him. He and Nicole have been going out on dates since they met on the first day we arrived. I need to know if he is trustworthy."

The 3 males share a look, something tells me I won't like what they have to say. Alaric sighs.

"Alice ... Sam's full name is Samuel Blade, he's 18 years old and the school bully." I furrow my brow.

"Last year he almost killed someone ..." Leo paused. "A human girl from outside of the community. He tied her to a tree and tortured her, till eventually, he turned her zombie. No one cared or said anything about it because for some shit reason humans are seen as filth in this community. The closest to humans they will allow is you guys, the Zelbas..."

My Jaw drops.

"Not long after that though, he somehow found another human girl and proceded to rape her and torture her, it was so severe that she died before he could even turn her." Jayden added his bit.

"But he will never do anything like that to the Zelba or Cured ones." Alaric continued. "He likes to bully people weaker than him or "newly" cured ones, even though he himself has only been cured for about a year or so. Hence why most people just let him do as he wants."

"I am sure you have nothing to worry about though Alice, he won't hurt her, this I promise you." Leo ended.

I nod, I don't trust him and I don't want him near Nicole, but if Leo says he won't hurt her I believe he won't. "Thank you guys."

Jayden nodded and smiled making my knees completely weak. "If he does hurt her, I'll sort him out in ways he can only wish he had thought of to torture people." Something about the way Jayden said that made me laugh, despite the actual content he was talking about.

"ALICE!!" Nicole called.

"That's my cue guys, see you in a bit." I headed upstairs ignoring the 3 pairs of eyes following my figure...

NICOLE P.O.V

I smiled at Alice as she entered. "I'm finished showering, the water is amazing today."

Alice grinned. "Thanks, Nicole, oh and will you please help me with a few things when I am done." The slight blush that spread across her face made me instantly wanna help her.

"SURE! Just say what you need." I chirped excitedly.

"Will you please do my makeup and help me pick out something to wear?" I was surprised but also excited at the same time.

"SURE!" I grinned before lowering my voice slightly. "Is this for Jayden?" I whispered.

Alice nodded blushing bright red. I try my absolute best not to squeal, but I fail miserably and squeal as loudly as my longs can handle. "ALICE!!" I giggle loudly and hug her. "In the shower, you go, missy!" I shoo her into the bathroom and start preparing. "Hmm, maybe this black dress? And what about... Yes, these shoes are perfect." I start getting dressed and ready after choosing Alice's clothes. I decide on wearing my short, blue, off-shoulder dress and my blue pumps. After getting dressed I set to work on my make-up and finally my hair.

"I HAVE TO WEAR THIS!!" Alice exclaimed pointing to the short, turtle neck, sleeveless, black dress with long laced, black high heels.

I glare at her. "Ok, Ok, I'll wear it." Alice sighed and started getting dressed while I finished my hair.

"There, what do you think?" I get up and head over to her. Alice does a small turn.

"You look amazing!" I exclaimed, clapping my hands. "Come, sit, and let me do your makeup. After that, I'll tackle your hair!"

Alice nodded and down on her bed, I quickly brought over my make up kit and set out to do my duty. "There, all done!"

"But you just started." Alice exclaimed, surprised.

""You don't need a lot of makeup Alice." I smiled.

I pulled a chair closer so she could sit on it. "Hair time." I purred.

Alice nodded and went to sit down in the chair. I grab the brush and start brushing her long black and red hair. "Can I tie it?"

"Sure anything as long as you don't cut it off." We share a laugh and I tie her hair in a high single pony that hung just above her mid-back in soft curls.

"There, all done." I smiled. "You look amazing Alice." I stated excitedly.

Alice blushed again. "T-Thank you, Nicole." I hugged Alice and dragged her downstairs.

"About time ... Wow." Alaric froze mid-sentence staring at Alice.

"Four hours is not that long for two girls." I glare at Alaric.

Leo walks toward us, smiling. "Wow, don't you two look amazing." I smile as he hugs us both.

"Uhm, Leo." I bekon him closer. "Where's Jayden?" I whisper so Alice does not hear. Leo pointed to the back door, mouthing 'reading'. I nod and grab Alice. "Come along."

I drag her outside to where the extremely attractive Jayden was sitting in all black, black jeans, black button up shirt and black shoes, A vision in black. Alice nearly bolted but I held firmly onto her arm. "Hi, Jayden!" I squicked.

Jayden glaced up and froze. "Wow . . . Amazing . . . Beautiful!" Jayden stuttered.

"T-Thank you." Alice blushed bright red.

"O, wow you two chose the same dress color." I laughed.

Jayden slowly got up and walked towards Alice, my cue to leave. I headed back inside and walked towards Leo. "Thanks." I smiled brightly and received a wink for my efforts.

Alaric rolled his eyes and headed to his room. "Leo, can I ask you something?"

Leo nodded and smiled at me. "Well, why do you like Alice?"

Leo stiffened. "She's kind and gentle, but very good at taking care of herself."

I nod and poke his side playfully. "What time are we leaving?"

"An hour or so, Alaric and I are taking our cars." He smiled.

"Great!" I chirped and we stood there chattering for a while when a very red Alice and a 'hardy' Jayden came back in "You better not have messed up her makeup." I glared at Jaden.

"I'll need to try harder than just that to mess up your artwork." Jayden jokes, making us all laugh.

I pull Alice aside. "What happened?"

"H-H-He asked me out." Alice turned a bright red shade. "I asked him to wait, I am not ready for the dating scene yet. Especially not after I decided me and him will only be friends. He said he'll give me a day to decide, then I'll have to get back to him."

"And?" I prodded.

"I really, really like him Nicole, but I am scared this is going too fast." Alice fiddled nervously.

"Alice..." I take a deep breath, trying to come up with some encouragement. "I say if you found the one you really, really wanna give your all to, go for it don't give up because you're scared of what ifs." I smile.

Alice nods. "today after the movie I will give him my answer."

I smile. "Great."

40 minutes later.

ALICE P.O.V.

I stare absentmindedly out the window as we head to the cinema. Finally, we stop at the cinema and we get out. There waiting is who I presume to be Sam. Leo greets him. "Hi, Sam..." So it is him. "This is Alice."

"Hi." I shake his hand.

"Very attractive." He whistles, just then Alaric and the others arrive with Nicole.

Nicole jumps out hastily making her way over to Sam. "SAM!"

"Hi babes." Sam purrs. ""Why didn't you tell me Alice was such a sexy girl." Sam winks at me, the action completely sending my stomach into a fit of nausea.

Nicole looked down. "I see." Was all she said.

We all headed in and decided on some comedy/action themed movie. The movie was about two hours long, afterwards we all decided to spend some time at the games arcade. By the time everyone decided to go home, it was 6 pm, Jayden and I decided to walk home. Luckily we decided to grab some flat shoes I can use to walk in before we left home.

"So . . ." Jayden started after everyone left. "What's your answer, M'lady?"

I take a deep steadying breath. "My answer is ..." I look at him smiling brightly. "My answer is yes!"

Jayden laughed picking me up and spinning me around. "Thank you!" The second my feet touched the ground his lips were on mine. The world seemingly stopped. Of all the amazing days me and Jayden had, this ... This day was the most amazing one, the one night I wished would never end...
