Chapter 57: The Devastating Flames of the Phoenix

When she turned around, Xifeng saw the old man and her two maids floating in the sky.

Naturally, she wasn't shocked that they were flying, but because the old man was too strong.

He forced Xue and Yue to unleash part of their beast form.

They weren't like the other cultivators, who had a mixed bloodline of human and monster beast, because only one type of pure bloodline flowed into them.

And it was for that reason that they could morph their physical body like they wanted.

There were a pair of enchanting and colored wings on their backs, like those of a bird.

A peculiar pair of purple feathered wings emerged from Xue's back.

Her figure was even more graceful than before because those wings gave her a particular charm.

Yue also had a pair of wings on her back, but her feathers were of a dark blue color.

Their speed was at least doubled after this transformation, and their attacks became even more ferocious.

The two maids moved their wings so fast and with so much force that a strong gust of wind hit the old man's body every time they flapped their wings.

Xifeng only turned around for a few seconds, but her enemies were already sending their spears towards her.

Their attacks were even faster than before.

She tried to stop some of them with her sword, but she still took a few steps back in the end.

Xifeng didn't bother anymore with Xue and Yue and focused again on her enemies.

Her sword started moving again, but this time she infused even more essence qi on the blade.

Unfortunately, it was bunched again when the sword collided with the armor.

"Damn… it's quite hard… But I don't believe that it's impenetrable."

Her movements were graceful like a little bird, but her sword pierced at them like the deadly fangs of a snake.

Her flaming hair kept moving left and right, enchanting her beauty.

A terrible and cruel battle kept going between an enchanting beauty and few heavily armored creatures.

Their movements were completely different.

Those armored soldiers had slow movements, but their attacks speed really frightening.

Luckily, Xifeng was too fast for them, and each time she easily dodged their devastating thrusts.

She kept swinging her sword and kicking them for a whole minute, but she still wasn't able to penetrate that thick, hard metal.

There were only tiny scratches on the armors.

"This is simply ridiculous… What the hell are they made of??"

She was an experienced woman and was clear about almost every single metal in the two Realms.

But even after so long, her powerful weapon was still useless.

Since her brute force alone wasn't enough, she decided that it was time to unleash her real power.

So, Xifeng started operating the Fire qi burning like an angry dragon inside of her.

A lovely shout escaped from her mouth, and those destructive flames spread from her body.

They were so devastating that they released a terrifying shockwave around her.

The group of enemies in the surrounding that was at least high double her stepped back a few times because the heavy armor protecting their bodies was heating so much that they felt their skin burn.

Unfortunately, the armor could protect them well, but their speed was significantly reduced.

Their strange screams of pain rang out inside the valley.

Their voice was strident and strange, like the scream of a wounded beast.

Xifeng was shocked because these noises weren't like those of a human, but similar to a strange creature, and couldn���t help but shout again: "Answer me… what the hell are you??"

But still, nothing came from her enemies.

After shouting in pain for a while, they stood back and started walking again toward Xifeng, like a puppet with only one duty, kill the target on their path.

"Well… still not telling me??... Then let me see what are you made of…"

Xifeng didn't waste any more time and began to condense part of those arrogant flames around the blade.

It didn't take long, and only after a few second, her sword transformed utterly.

The blade was covered by dark red flames made of pure Fire qi, and the temperature was so intense that the space around her twisted a bit.

Luckily, her sword was created with a particular metal suited for this high temperature, and there no problem.

Even her armor and red cloak were still okay.

Tian Yang would be shocked if he was here because Xifeng was really similar to the Goddess of Fire in his heart, right now.

Xifend was satisfied with the destructive power coming for the sword and smiled: "Let's see… If it can block that too… AH!!"

When Xifeng took the first step, the illusory image of a phoenix appeared behind her.

Each time the beauty took a step, the arrogant phoenix flapped her wings and sent a powerful shockwave of pure Fire qi around her.

The scene was simply spectacular, and even the old man, still fighting with the two maids, was attracted by it.

Xifeng ignored the old man's shout and finally hit the closest enemy with her sword.

Luckily, her sword didn't bounce like it did before because the flames were so intense that they managed to penetrate that tenacious metal.

Xifeng smiled, seeing her sword penetrate the armor easily, and started moving around one of them like a lively cricket.

There was a strange light blue power around her boots that made her feet light like a feather, increasing her speed at an abnormal level.

Her attacks were fast, maybe even quicker than before, but it wasn't easy for her.

After all, the other enemies weren't there, just for show.

Their spears kept piercing at her with a monstrous speed, but luckily they only touched the afterimage of her figure.

Her target also kept moving his spear around, but his clumsy movements were always slower than Xifeng.

Naturally, she didn't attack the enemy only from the front because, with her incredible movement technique, gifted by Old Tian hundreds of years ago, she could quickly shift her body position in a restricted space.

Sometimes, her attacks came from the front, sometimes from the sides, and sometimes from the back.

It was for this reason that she could easily dodge their attacks.

Naturally, the arrogant phoenix also helped her a lot.

After a couple of more slash, Xifeng could finally see what was inside the armor and was shocked because the flesh wasn't that of a human, but it had a dark green color, similar to a strange green substance.

But there was something even more strange because there was no blood coming out from the fissure.

She knew that the flames had an incredibly high temperature, but still, this wasn't normal.

With how much her sword entered his body, there should be at least a few drops.

Xifeng was even more interested in them, and instead of attacking his body, she started focusing her attacks only on his neck.

Naturally, she wanted to chop his head, but this part was even more protected than others.

So only after a minute, her sword finally cut through his skin.

His scream didn't stop even for a second and instead kept increasing because Xifeng became more savage and ruthless with her attacks.

The Old Man was finally alarmed by her incredible abilities and wanted to stop her, but Xue and Yue didn't let him do as he wished to and increased the frequency of their attacks.

Xifeng's sword almost reached the position where the spine should be, but right when her sword was ready for the last cut, a few shouts coming from her back made her jolt.

"Little girl… like you said before… your actions are a bit rude…"

"YOUNG MISS… CAREFUL…"

Not even after half a breath, a terrifying force hit Xifeng's body, sending her flying into the distance…
