Flashback pt. 5

It was a chilly night, not a single star can be seen in the sky. The moon shone beautifully, casting a haunting glow. A man, leaning on the side of the wall outside the big house, flicked his lighter on. His cigarette glowed, and he puffed. Letting the smoke linger in his mouth for a bit before exhaling it out. Raucous bouts of laughter can be heard inside, someone was even calling for him, but he ignored it and stared at the moon.

It was a peaceful night, and he had never experienced this kind of solitude before, but not for long. Black shadows moved swiftly from the side, surrounding the place. One lone figure stepped right behind the man, and he felt it. He was about to turn around when a hand covered his mouth, intentionally pushing the lit cigarette inside.
