The Deal

'Fiancee? But, aren't they divorced? Wait…'

She saw the bewilderment in my eyes and smiled in satisfaction.

"Ah, so he did not tell you. Poor girl…" she muttered while slowly shaking her head.

'Shut up. Shut the fvck up…'

I was seething inside, feeling violent all of a sudden.

"Fiancee?" I can't help but voice out.

'What fiancee are you talking about? Aren't you, his ex-wife?!'

I was so confused. Looking back, Keith did say that his father wants him to marry her again. But that was just a day ago, was it already settled? Wait, did Keith agree?!

My heart was literally kicking inside my rib cage, wanting to come out.

"Yes. Just as I said, I am Keith's fiancee," she replied, confirming that I have not misheard her.

"Well, now you know. And you already know what to do as well, right?" she remarked, rubbing more salt to my wound.

'No, I don't! You're lying right?!'
