The Talk pt. 4

I bit my lip as memories started flooding inside my head, no matter how much I tried to suppress it. It's like a floodgate had opened and everything rushed out just like that.

I thought back to the time when I was just in college. My dad worked for the government, dealing with national affairs. Oftentimes, I would see members of the military, men in uniforms, visit the house.

I didn't care about it back then.

He taught me a lot of things, self defenses were most of them. Dad also kept saying that he's out to get bad guys. That I should be careful of people who wear a trophy around their fingers.

I don't get it, until now. What does he mean by that?

Even when I grew up into a teen, his warnings got more specific. He told me not to trust everyone so easily, and that wolves hide behind a pleasant smile.

He told me to stay away from those people he pointed out again, and then they died in a plane crash without even a goodbye from them.
