Rose heaved a heavy sigh as she walked up towards the angry vampire, pulling a reluctant Jocelyn beside her. "You finally made it," Rose said as she looked up at Katherine with a smile.

Katherine glared at the human. She felt her blood boiling in her veins with anger. She couldn't remember the last time someone had pissed her off so much before. She didn't think she had ever disliked a person as much as she did Rose. "You left without me," Katherine said through clenched teeth.

Jocelyn chuckled at the woman's words, but quickly stopped as the angry woman shot her a cold glare. She was proud of her friend for standing up to this woman, who obviously looked like a bully.

"You were eating so slowly, enjoying your breakfast, so I didn't want to keep rushing you. I knew you'd catch up to us."

"How kind of you," Katherine said.

Rose smiled. "Of course. After all, I'm your future queen. I have to be nice to my people," she said and before the woman could retort, Rose pulled Jocelyn towards the door, walking passed the angry vampire seething in anger.

Jocelyn couldn't help but chuckle as she looked over at Rose. Impressed by the way her friend was standing up for herself.

The doors opened as both women stopped in front of them and smiled as they were led inside by nicely dressed women. They were beautiful and elegant, which made everyone walking in, realize this place wasn't an ordinary shop.

"Welcome," one of the ladies said as she greeted the three young women who walked in the door.

"Good morning," Rose said as she smiled at the nice lady.

"I believe we've been expecting you Mrs. Romanov?" The woman asked in a polite tone.

Rose's cheeks burned at the woman's words. "Uh, no it's Braxton. Ms. Braxton." She shook her head. "God what am I saying. Just call me Rose please."

The sales woman chuckled and nodded. "Very well, my name is Beatrice, and I'll be your personal assistant today so feel free to ask for anything at all. I have to admit, we're very happy to be assisting you today Rose. It's not everyday our king gets married and we get to see our future queen so close in person."

Rose's eyebrows lifted in surprise. Our king? Of course they were vampires. They were way too good looking to be regular humans. She looked around the floor, noticing the enviable beauty of every single person in the store. "Thank you," Rose said. "I'm happy to be here."

Katherine rolled her eyes, choosing to remain quietly behind both humans to keep an eye on their surroundings. Even though she didn't like Rose, and more than likely Jocelyn either, she was still responsible for their safety.

Jocelyn shot a look at Rose and Rose nodded. She knew Jocelyn wanted to know if they were vampires. Rose had revealed the truth to Jocelyn about Caleb and the existence of vampires, which weren't a myth and her friend had been, to Rose's shock extremely excited rather than shocked and scared. Neither one of them had ever ran into a vampire before this and from all the stories they'd heard, Jocelyn seemed eager to get to know them in real life.

"Was there a specific look you were interested in Rose?" Beatrice asked.

Rose frowned and shook her head. "I haven't really had time to think about it," she said honestly. Her wedding dress had been the least of her worried these past few days.

"Not a problem. I've taken the liberty of selecting a few choices myself. I hope that's alright with you."

"Of course," Rose said, getting jabbed by her friend. She shot Jocelyn a glare. "What?" she asked.

"This is your wedding dress! You need to think carefully. You can't just let other people decide what you're going to wear. You're only getting married once you need to make sure the dress is perfect for you," Jocelyn said as she narrowed her eyes at her friend.

Rose smiled. "I'd like to see what Beatrice has picked out for me first. If I don't feel comfortable with any of her choices then I'll pick a few myself."

"Excellent!" Beatrice exclaimed cheerfully as she was getting the opportunity to show off her amazing skills. Most women who came in here already had an idea of what they wanted, so it was rare when she got this lucky. Not to mention it was her future queen she was helping! This would definitely get her some brownie points in the future.

Rose followed behind Beatrice while Jocelyn and Katherine walked next to her. She looked around the shop, feeling like someone was watching her, but she couldn't find anyone who was directly looking at her. She had to remember most of these women probably knew who she was already, and they would be curious to see what their future queen looked like. She shook her head, dissolving the thoughts in her mind.

Beatrice led them to the VIP room in the back of the building, which was reserved only for their king and his guests. She waited for the ladies to take their seats before offering them something to drink. Once the drinks were ordered and served, Beatrice began to pull out dress after dress from a small room in the middle of the wall across from where all three girls sat.

Rose was shocked as Beatrice walked out with beautiful dresses one after the other. She watched in awe as she heard Beatrice begin to talk about the intricacies of each dress. They were all elegant and ranged from mermaid style to puffed out regal queen. The most shocking was that they were made with real jewels. Diamonds, rubies and pearls shone brightly on each dress.

Was this how all vampires shopped? How rich were they compared to humans? Something told her that the word wealthy had a very different meaning between humans and vampires.

"Holy shit!" Jocelyn exclaimed. "Are these real diamonds?" she asked in shock.

"Yes they are," Beatrice said with a proud smile. "Our King ordered us to have these specially made for you a few weeks ago."

Rose's eyes widened. "You had to make all of these just for me?!"

Beatrice suddenly placed her hand over her mouth realizing she had said something she shouldn't have. She looked over at Katherine who was glaring at her. "I'm sorry, I wasn't supposed to say that," she said with a regretful sigh. "Please don't tell his majesty I said that."

"You want to lie to your king now?" Katherine asked coldly.

Jocelyn's eyes widened. "No! Of course not! I just don't want him to be mad." She smiled sheepishly at Rose, pleading with her eyes.

Rose nodded. "Don't worry we won't tell him anything. This matter is not that important."

Katherine turned to look at Rose, eyes narrowed.

"Do you really want to bother him with such trivial matters when there are other important things on his mind?" Rose asked the angry vampire.

Katherine's teeth grinded together and she looked Beatrice. "I suppose not. It's not a big deal."

Beatrice sighed. "Thank you so much!" She looked over at the human who was going through the dresses, almost drooling on them. "Ahem…" she slowly pulled a dress from her hands and handed it to Rose.

Jocelyn pouted unhappily. "I was just looking at them!" She turned to Rose and shot her, her best puppy eyes. "Can I try on some dresses too?"

Rose chuckled at the eager look on her friend's face. Jocelyn was a shopaholic and would never miss an opportunity to get her hands on something so beautiful and elegant. "Yes of course."

"Ah!" Jocelyn cried out with joy and threw her arms around her friend. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

Rose chuckled and pulled herself from Jocelyn's arms. She turned to Beatrice. "Please find some dresses for my friend while I try on the gowns."

Beatrice nodded happily. She called another woman and gave her orders to bring some dresses for Jocelyn before leading Rose behind the giant mirror on the side of the room.

Katherine and Jocelyn sat on the comfortable couch provided for them as they waited for Rose.

"So you don't like Rose?" Jocelyn asked, not really needing and answer. She was good at reading people.

Katherine's eyebrows lifted in surprise as she turned to look at the human who dared to speak to her. "Not that it's any of your business, but no. We don't get along."

Jocelyn took a drink from her champagne glass and turned to the vampire. "Be careful how you treat her. She may be nice, but I won't hesitate to hurt anyone who dares to hurt my friend."

Katherine was speechless as she stared at the woman who just a few minutes ago was acting like an obnoxious teenager. She stared at the cold menacing eyes of the woman who had just threatened her and felt the cold aura emanating from her. Something was different about her. It was as if she had two personalities. "Who are you?" she asked.

Jocelyn's expression didn't change as she looked at the vampire. "I'm Rose's friend," she said simply. "One who cares a lot about her. Enough to kill."

Katherine's teeth grinded in anger. Now she was being threatened by a human?! She stood up and was about to grab the woman in front of her when she saw her attitude change dramatically once again.

"Rose!" Jocelyn cried out with joy as she stood up and walked around Katherine to look at her friend. "Oh my god!" Her eyes widened and her breath caught as she watched Rose walking towards her in a wedding dress, shining brightly like a goddess.
