He Knows?

It was already dark by the time they made it back to the mansion. As soon as she stepped inside, Rose felt a shiver run down her back. She wrapped her arms around her, trying to heat up her body as the temperature around her made her body ache. It was freezing cold!

They were wealthy, but were they too stingy to turn on the heater? No, the mansion hadn't been like this since she had moved in. She wondered if maybe vampires were immune to the temperatures, and this was the reason why it was so cold. They probably didn't remember that they had a human living with them now, and that's why they didn't bother to make sure the temperature was proper for her.

She sighed as she made her way to her room. She wasn't going to talk to Caleb about this. In fact, she was determined to avoid him at all cost. The less time she spent with him, the better.

In Caleb's office, Ksien stood behind his boss, looking at the stiff back of the man as he looked out the floor to ceiling window. He had been there for hours, just looking out at nothing in particular, and Ksien was beginning to worry about him. "What do you want to do?" he asked.

Caleb slipped his hands into the pockets of his pants casually. He continued to look out at the car that was parked in the driveway, watching Mark unload the bags from the trunk. "Get ready to move," he said, voice firm and cold.

Ksien felt a chill run down his spine at the coldness in Caleb's words. His boss was mad, furious. Ksien couldn't remember the last time he had seen him so angry, but considering the situation, he couldn't blame him. The girl he loved, loved someone else, and she had even dared to go behind his back and meet him while living under his roof. "When do you want to leave?"

"We'll leave in a couple days," he answered. "Just make sure everything is ready by then. Also, make sure she doesn't have any contact with that family or her friend for now."

"Yes boss. What do you want me to tell her?"

"Nothing."

Ksien sighed. "She's going to ask me why," he said, knowing Rose wouldn't be happy being denied the right to contact the people she loved.

Caleb turned around and looked at the man standing behind him. He noticed how stiff Ksien was, and realized it was because of him. "Tell her it's my command. She's not allowed to talk to anyone until I say so."

"Are you sure this is the right thing to do?" Ksien asked nervously. He knew Caleb was jealous and angry, but his actions were only going to push Rose away. Caleb was letting his emotions control his decisions. It wasn't wise for him to act while his emotions were so strong.

"Just do it," Caleb said as he looked at him.

Ksien noted the coldness in his eyes and quickly agreed, not wanting to piss him off even more. "Yes, boss."

"Stop calling me that. I've told you a hundred times already."

Ksien nodded. "I'll do as you say Caleb. I'll take my leave now." He waited for Caleb's nod of approval before turning around and walking out of the study.

Caleb's eyes seethed with rage as his friend left the room. He wasn't able to control his emotions anymore, and his body shook with the urge to kill. He knew he couldn't kill Jackson. Rose would only hate him if he did that, but one day, he would destroy the man one day.

He walked out of the study and walked towards her room, knowing she was most likely getting ready for bed. He controlled his body and his emotions, noticing the cold temperature around him. He quickly changed the air, making it warmer as he stood outside her room. He didn't bother knocking, instead he opened the door and walked in.

Rose gasped in shock as she watched Caleb walking into her room casually, as if he was walking into his. She had barely gotten out of the shower and was drying her hear, wearing nothing but a towel around her body. She dropped the towel she was using on her hair and wrapped her hands around the towel above her breasts, holding it tight to make sure it wouldn't fall. "W-what are you doing here? Don't you know how to knock?"

Caleb froze as he watched the state she was in. He swallowed hard as he felt his body burn with the need to touch her. She was practically naked underneath that towel. One pull and everything would be revealed to him.

He looked up and watched droplets of water falling from her hair that lay loosely around her shoulders, making her look mouth watering… so sexy. He felt the tightness in his pants increase and tried to fight the urge to pounce on her like a wild animal.

"C-Caleb?" Rose froze on the spot as she watched him slowly walk towards her. She gulped as he stood in front of her, invading her personal space. Her chest began to rise and fall with heavy breaths and her body shivered as his body heat immediately surrounded her. She took a deep breath and his scent suddenly filled her head, making her feel dizzy. She couldn't understand why he made her feel this way.

Caleb stretched his hand out and lifted her chin to look into her eyes. He swallowed hard, fighting the heat that continued to burn through him.

She shivered as she watched the fire burning in his gaze. The heat around them continued to rise and she felt her body begin to sweat under his simmering stare. Her breath caught as she watched his eyes turn dark and she suddenly pulled away from him, remembering her promise to Jack. "What are you doing here?" she asked, taking a few steps back, trying to sound calm.

He blinked as her words brought him out of the trance he was in. He frowned as he looked down at her, noting the way she was pulling away from him. He hated it. He hated that she ran from his touch, but was more than willing to be in the arms of another man. He swallowed back his anger and moved forward again until he stood in front of her.

"Get whatever you need ready. You'll be sleeping in my room from now own."

Her eyes widened with his words. "W-what?" She shook her head. "No!"

His eyebrow lifted. "It's not a request Rose."

She swallowed hard. "You can't make me sleep in the same room as you! We're not married yet!"

He smiled as he looked down at her. "What are you thinking about Rose? I said you're sleeping in my room, I didn't say anything else was going to happen. Are you having dirty thoughts?"

Her cheeks burned with his words. Of course she was having dirty thoughts! After being with Jack earlier today, she felt her body craving that special feeling again. She couldn't wait to give herself to him. It would be like a dream come true. She shook her head. "It's not right to sleep in the same room before we're married. I'm not doing it."

His eyebrows lifted and his smile widened by her refusal. He couldn't help but think how cute she was, trying to fight him when she obviously didn't have the strength to oppose him. He leaned down and picked her up, throwing her over his shoulder.

"Aaaahhh!" She screamed in shock and her body froze as she realized what he was doing. He was going to force her to stay in the same room as him?! "Caleb stop!" she screamed and began to hit his back. "You can't force me to do this!"

He ignored her words and made his way out of the room. He only had to walk a few steps to his. "It's okay for us to sleep together. We'll be married in less than a month."

Her eyes widened and cheeks burned as she felt the towel slowly rising up her thighs. The more she struggled the higher the towel rose. She quickly reached behind and pulled the towel down to cover her thighs. "Please let me down. I can walk by myself!"

He chuckled. "I like this better."

Her teeth grinded in anger and she looked up to glare at the back of his head. Where was the kind and patient Caleb she had met before? Was this how he really was? Always forceful when things didn't go his way?

Caleb opened his door and made sure to lock it as he walked towards his giant bed. He gently put her down on the edge of the mattress and smiled down at her.

Her eyes widened and her body shivered as she looked up at the mischievous grin on his face. She trembled as she felt the temperature around them begin to rise once again. She swore he was doing this! Did he have the power to influence the temperature around them?

Caleb watched her hands grip the top of the towel when she noticed it was coming loose. He sighed, disappointed. If only she wouldn't have noticed.

Rose glared up at him. "You can't force me to stay here! This isn't right Caleb."

"So I can't sleep with my fiancé, but she can be in the arms of another man?" he asked as his eyes narrowed down at her.

Her eyes widened and her body froze with his words. Shit! He knew! He knew she had been with Jack! Her cheeks burned with shame. Had he seen everything? Had he been there the whole time? Fear began to rise in her as she watched his eyes glowing with emotions. Oh, fuck! Now what was she going to do? Did he know about her plan to escape too? Her heart beat rapidly in her chest as the realization dawned on her that he knew everything. Now, would she ever be able to escape?
