Nikolay grunted as Evaine threw him against the wall, which made a dry cracking sound when he hit it. He fell heavily to the floor and quickly pulled himself into order, rolling to his feet with improbable grace.

He had only managed to land a few hits on Evaine in the past couple of minutes while he had received a lot and that was only because he hadn't stopped trying to rush around the man to get into the building. He could hear Lucas fighting with vampires inside and he knew that was in no way a fair fight but Lucas wasn't his priority.

"I'll say it again. Aksel's doing the right thing," Evaine stated as he blocked Nikolay from going around him for the nth time, shoving him back, and Nikolay scowled because he had told Aksel not to touch Imani.
