"You should... go home," Imani muttered and Nikolay's shoulders slumped while Lucas stuck his hands in his pockets, the corners of his mouth about to turn up, when Imani suddenly said, "You can come back tomorrow."

She actually didn't want him to leave but she also didn't want Lucas to be angrier than he already was because this was his house and he was obviously very uncomfortable with Nikolay being in it. She knew she was getting close to him again too fast but she couldn't help it because now that he was here, she realized just how much she had missed him in her life. She didn't want him to disappear again.

Besides, if he spent the night here, he was going to want to sleep in her room and Lucas would definitely not like that.
