By fate, Lucas and Imani's worlds collide. Knowing that Imani is capable of finding the cure to the virus that was killing his people, Lucas is willing to do anything to get Imani's help.

"Lucas," Imani called out and he stopped in front of the sliding doors that led to the backyard before turning around while she walked towards him. "I- um... I need to ask you something."

He raised his brows as she came to a stop in front of him and he said, "Okay. What is it?"

She rubbed her hands together as she cleared her throat and slowly exhaled. "Could you... help me... um, get a grimoire?" The plan had been to ask Nikolay to help her get one but she didn't think she would be able to ask him after he finds out what happened between her and Lucas.

Lucas slightly tipped his head to the side and rubbed his forehead as his mouth twitched. They hadn't talked about her powers yet but he knew that she would want to know more about them one day and also use them.
