"Where are you going?" Imani asked with her hands still holding Lola's arms while Lola rubbed her eyes as she sniffled.

"To Nikolay's place. I can't find her so he's going to help me," she replied and tried to turn around but Imani held her in place.

Tabia wasn't just Lola's mother, she was a mother to Imani too. After Nia and Willard died, she checked up on Imani and Desmond numerous times a day for months and made sure they had everything they needed, even the things they didn't need.

"I'm going with you," Imani said and Lola wanted to tell her 'no' but she didn't because she actually wanted Imani to go with her so she just nodded. There was also the fact that if she said no, Imani would insist on going with her and if she still said no, Imani would show up at Nikolay's place nonetheless.
