"I mean, she's... good. She's a good person and she... she loves you and your brother. I know that much," Lucas stated and Imani smiled at him, resting her head back on his shoulder.

"What about my dad? What do you think of him?" she asked and he sighed because that was a question he could actually answer. He didn't like that Willard wanted Nikolay to teach Imani how to use her powers but the man was nicer than Nia so he liked him., even though he had only spoken to him for a couple of minutes.

"Your dad's nice. He seems like a great guy," he replied and she hmmed as she adjusted on the seat. He hadn't talked about his parents with her – the only thing she knew was that they painted – and she wanted him to tell her about them.
