By fate, Lucas and Imani's worlds collide. Knowing that Imani is capable of finding the cure to the virus that was killing his people, Lucas is willing to do anything to get Imani's help.

But that's not the only thing the Alpha wants from her. He also wants her heart.

Night Shifters

"Morning," Lucas said when he walked into the kitchen and saw Desmond standing next to the sink, washing a plate. Desmond turned his head around to see who it was before facing the sink back.

"Morning," he mumbled back and cleared his throat while Lucas headed to the refrigerator to grab a bottle of water.

"Is Imani awake?" he asked after drinking all the water in the bottle and Desmond shrugged as he dried his hands.

"She might be now. She was still asleep when I checked on her a couple of minutes ago." He dropped the cloth he was using to dry his hand on the counter. "I'm going out with Orlando and some of his friends. We're going to the gamehouse in town and will probably be back in the evening."

Immith was no longer a problem so there was no reason for him to not go where he wanted to. Besides, he wasn't leaving town and the people he's hanging out with will be able to protect him if anything goes wrong.
