The school day began at the bell. During which, May struggled to understand the lessons she had never experienced in her original life, as women were not encouraged to learn more than reading and some basic accounting to budget her husbands' income, it was even more discouraged to work as something other than service in homes when married.
Unmarried girls may get some work but will have to stop once they get engaged, as it was seen as an insult to their husband if their wife had to help earn money to keep the family alive.
BRING!!!!!!!
The sharp sound of the lunch bell broke her out of her musings, as she packed up her books and stretched. The sound of feet clacking on the wooden floor echoed around the room as hordes of children rushed out of their classrooms towards the canteen, the teachers watching them in resigned horror as they followed at a more sedate pace. May hung back, as the original would, to wait on her friends as they exited the classrooms as they made their way to one of the schools' conservatories, the Rose room. This was a room known for its Roses from around the world, from the classic English Roses to the Chinese Roses. It should be noted that thought their school was not a cliche school for the wealthy, it certainly had enough quality facilities that the school could qualify as one, including the gardens, labs, common areas, etc.
May only had to wait for five minutes as her friends came into the room one after the other. The first to arrive was Davlyn, a rather average looking teen with tan skin, brown hair and eyes, and average height. He was utterly unremarkable aesthetically, however, his smile seemed to light up the room as he entered. He was from an incredibly well-off family, which he loathed to mention due to the popularity of the White, Rich, and Handsome novels usually involving an overbearing president character. Once the topic is brought up, ordinarily by JJ, the pleasant smile turns cold, practically dripping malice as he looks at him.
The next to enter was Amber, a short chubby girl possessing a pleasant face, with blonde hair and blue eyes. People always treated her like a child due to her face and height, not prepared for the fiery temper she kept on a weak leash and primed to be unleashed on any poor fool to mention her stature. As a result of said temper, her parents signed her up for boxing to focus her 'misplaced aggression', she usually says whenever someone asked her about her hobbies. It was a cause for amusement when new boxers see her petite form in the boxing ring.
The last to enter was Jubilatrix Jaunter, otherwise known as JJ. He was the opposite of Amber in colouring, with dark hair, eyes, and skin. It was clear that he had African ancestry, though there was a debate as to which part of Africa, as his family had settled in Austria in the 1900s, with no record as to where they were. His dad named him Jubilatrix, as his mum was said to be infertile, and his mum agreed while on the good drugs. It was a source of pain for all those who use his name, parents not included. He was the vindictive prankster of their group and budding musician.
In all this, May was the glue that held them together and stopped the fights, especially when JJ dares compare Davlyn to Chinese novel hunks, while Davlyn uses his actual name, or when Amber is in the mood for a fight and crosses one or both of them. Though it is well known that they met at the Martial arts centre, where all kinds of disciplines are available, like in a mall.

The journey to the Rose room was not at all quiet, with Amber and JJ bickering, May and Davlyn gossiping and the occasional cross-fight between the two pairs, which stopped once they settled themselves on one of the available picnic tables, scattered around the massive conservatory, that was completely surrounded by Roses.

After an enjoyable lunch break, they all trudged to their next class. The day went on slowly as May tried her best to acclimatise to school as she finished school, only to return home and continue studying. Asking the system for clarifications as she sloughed through her textbooks for the last few years, building up gradually to the current year.
She ended up spending most of the night working on problems.
