Chapter 53 Interrogation

"Who are you," The mayor asked

A man with black hair smiles at her and moves toward them, his members follow behind them imitating the mayor, who is still holding Dana who is knocked out, and the man who's standing three feet from her starts to say,

"My question for you madam mayor is who are you?"

She gives him a look of confusion before looking at his companions, She looks down at one of their arms a pendant shines on it showing a mafia sign, Her eyes are turned back to the man that staring at her sternly before giving her a cold stare,

"It seems that she knows who we are. Well madam mayor Who are you," He asked

She hears the venom dripping from his voice, making her flinch,

"You don't need to know about my personal information," She said

He smirks motioning his arms out to his members, Some snicker at them their leader walks closer to the mayor, and he looks down at her arms pointed at her assistant,

"What's with the bloodied nonsense in your arms?" He said

The mayor looks down at Dana feeling anger ruling through her system,

"She is no-nonsense," She said boldly

"If anything, it would be you and the evil that's been here for decades," The mayor thought

"If that's the case, madam mayor, I will answer the question for you," He said

He stopped making her wait, wanting her to be anxious he started to walk closer to her near the point of touching,

"Janet Ronnie, you are a third-generation in politics that seems to be mostly clean," He said

He lifted his hand and made a jester that caused them to move in units, some moving past her and pushing her to the side, She almost tripped, but the leader grabbed her arm looking at her unamused,

"S...s..sorry boss,"

"Keep moving,"

They shudder and keep moving away from the two, he turns his action back to her, telling her,

"Your grandfather owed us a lot of money... You know that, right?"

"I k..."

"You don't know shit," He yelled

She moved away from him stunned by his outburst,

"Look, you only know half of it, do you know what he did? The betrayal of 1999. The backstabbing that he caused," He asked

"All I know is that he owed a lot of money and paid it off, he was corrupted to the core and hurt hundreds of us with the ideology and laws," She said

He nods, seeing her tell the truth makes him pleased. To hear that at least one of the Ronnie clan... hopefully.

"You got some of it I will give you that... but that's one of the reasons I came here," he said

"Hey! Give her back,"

One of the members came by her and picked Dana out of her arms, making her turn to him, and causing an opening.

"You shouldn't have done that Janet."

His arm wraps around her abdomen, Janet tries to squirm out of his hold, but he takes this as an opportunity to prick her with a syringe that knocks her out, Still holding her tells one of them to pull her into a van,

"Yes, boss,"

"Good, now I have to get my clothes clean. Again," He sighed

"Hey, the boss there seems to be a helicopter light coming closer, we should get going," They said

"I hate it when you're right. Come on, let's get moving, Now!" He yelled

They moved to the vehicles taking their captives with them, he started to walk away from the scene noticing the light from the helicopters starting to shine on him, he looked up smirking at it showing his face to the public before, taking a turn moving his hand up making his aura shot out of it hitting the helicopter,

One of its blades got hit, making the conductor take an emergency landing trying not to hit the other helicopter,

"Boss?"

The turns to them saying,

"I hate fake publicity,"

A woman groans in pain placing a hand on her head, She looks around the vehicle noticing her hand feeling sticky checks on it to reveal dried-up blood,

"What the hell?" she uttered

"What happened when I was knocked out? I should be in the hospital, Where am I, and where's the mayor?" she thought the vehicle bumped into a road bump making her hold onto the vehicle,

"Be careful you idiot we have cargo in there,"

"It will be fine There's no harm in a few bruises and cuts, hell. One of them has a batch on the head,"

"If you want to tell the boss this, go right ahead,"

She stopped hearing a loud sound from behind her, She looked at it and saw Janet lying there tapping around her leg and arms sleeping on the floor,

"Did you hear that?"

"Yes, that's why I told you to be careful!"

She stopped listening by now walked toward Janet, bending down to check if she was healthy,

"Her breathing seems normal," she thought, She tried to learn down to hear Janet's heartbeat, but soreness on her head stopped her,

"Fine,"

She lifts Janet onto her legs where Janet's neck is on her shoulders, she hears the door open to see the members that were talking,

"Well, it's nice to see a bright face,"

Before she can say anything a butt of a gun hit her in the head knocking her out, the one who was talking to her gives them a confused stare,

"What was that for?"

"Stop with this nonsense and continue driving!" The boss yelled

"Yes boss," they said

They put both of them back into their seats and strapped them in ties their hand, they closed the door walked back to their seats,

"Boss, do you see this?"

He tunes to the member who's pointing at a shining light coming over to them quickly,

"Get moving," He yelled

The members walk back to their vehicles, and the boss walks back to his, looking up at the light shining…. Mocking him,

"Boss?"

"I'm fine to get in the car."

The boss went into the back seat and looked at the front mirror, seeing the vehicles moving with the light following them,
