IN THE EYES OF THE GUILTY

 NARRATOR'S POV

Andrea watched as Kristy sat in the middle of the nursery room, she was sitting still- almost lifeless, her eyes staring in the distance through the open window. As the wind blows with the scent of grass- her hair swayed along with the breeze.

"When will they be back?" she asked- her round eyes remained unmoved, patiently waiting for a cast of shadow that will indicate the elders' return.

"I'm not sure…but they should be here soon" Andrea replied, Alexander and Rachelle were taking too long and it's making her worry- more than she had ever been before.

"How about I bring some refreshment and pasties, would you like that?" she asked gently.

Shaking her head no- Kristy took the teddy bear sitting beside her and hugged the stuffed animal, nose buried in its fur.

"We should follow them" she mumbled.
