#Chapter 1

*Rose's POV*

"Rose, Rose, wake up!"

"Leave me alone Ron! It is five in the morning, go back to sleep."

It was currently the first of Semtember. We were supposed to go to Hogwarts today.

"I can't! I am just sooooo excited,"Ron replied to me.

I opened my eyes to see him on my bed on all fours, staring down at me, smiling. I shook my head and turned. Why would anyone even be excited? We were starting school, I don't see what was so fun in that.

"Well to bad, now, leave me alone!" I yelled, closing my eyes.

Ron left me to go to his bed.

Jeez.

Can't a person sleep in peace before torture arrives at school. I really wasn't a morning person.

*

We walked to towards the barrier in our weird muggle clothes.

Ron shivering like a maniac. I rolled my eyes at him, then asked,"Ron, are you cold?"

"No," He replied,"I'm just scared to cross the barrier."

Once we were on the platform between nine and ten, Percy went through the barrier, then Fred and Goerge. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a raven haired boy. Great, what did he want?

I zoned out as he stuttered words to my mum. That boy needs to learn how to speak properly!

I went through the barrier before Ron just so I didn't have to talk with the other guy.

Percy, Fred and George weren't there waiting for me, so I leaned on the barrier.

There was a gasp which made me jump. Gosh, it was the boy again. Man, he knows how to stalk people!

Lucky he left trying to put his things in the train, but he struggled.

I sighed and went to help him, I don't know why.

I almost had everything on the train, when Fred and George came out 'accidentally' scared the boy. Like merlins beard, The raven haired boy was a scardy cat!

Anyway, his suitcase dropped on my foot, so I ditched them. Only because I wanted Fred and George to help instead. They deserved it for hurting me.

I went over to mum who was calling out for Percy. I gave her a hug and my sweetest smile that always made Ginerva jealous of me. I loved when she got annoyed.

You see, as sisters, we don't get along. This is because I was the first girl born in the family, therefore I deserve all the attention. She doesn't accept that, so it is her fault.

"Ronald, you've got something on your nose," Mum said as Ron tried to get away,"and for goodness sake, Rose dear, please wear your clothes properly."

She fixed my shirt right, and I just giggled.

The twins came back,"Hey mum, guess what? Guess who we just met on the train? You know that black-haired boy who was asking for help,The one you helped Rose. Know who he is?"

"Let me guess," I said sarcastically,"Harry Potter"

The twins gasped at me,"How do you know?"

I was about to talk when I was rudely interrupted.

"Oh, mum, can I go and see him? Please?"

I looked to see who had spoken, it was Ginerva.

"Someone already got their first crush" I said smirking at her.

"Shut up!" She yelled, her face tomato red, it gave me satisfaction because I had managed to annoy her once again.

Mum started to lecture her about having respect.

"Where is Percy?" Mum suddenly asked out of the blue.

Why did mum have to bring up the topic of Perfect Percy. I despise him so much. Always so, so, so good at everything! I just said goodbye to mum and dad -and even pretended to be sisterly with Ginerva as she faked cried- not wanting to be with Percy.

Luckily I didn't have to wait much in the train because just as I got to the door, the train whistled, so Ron, Fred and George ran to me, with Ginerva on their tails half laughing and half crying.

I stopped myself from making a disgusted face.

"Come on we need to find an empty compartment," Ron said.

I just shrugged.

We carried on walking till we reached the last compartment.

Insode was the same raven-haired boy, Harry Potter.

Ron was to nervous to open the door so I did it for him and gave him a little push forward, rolling my eyes while doing so.

"Can we sit here? Everywhere is full," Ron said.

"Sure."

I made myself at home and I sat in the middle, with Ron in front of Harry Potter.

"Are you actually Harry Potter?" Ron blurted out.

I rolled my eyes. Anyone need help making friends? Just ask Ron, he is a professional at it.

Note the sarcasm.

They started talking about his scar, Harry was clearly showing off. I mean, anyone could see that, well, except for Ron.

*

After some time, a woman came to our compartment.

"Anything from the trolley dears?" She asked us.

Harry jumped outside while Ron and I took out our sandwiches. Mine was a grilled cheese toast, while Ron's was a lumpy thing. I scooted away from him.

Harry came back with a handful of sweets. Man, even without parents, was he spoilt.

Harry offered Ron a pasty who eventually said yes, Harry asked if I wanted one too but I just said that I was on a sugar free diet.

However, when neither Harry or Ron were looking, I slipped in alot of sweets into my bag for later.

Time past as Ron started to embarrass me in front of the 'boy who lived' by eating like a pig. However, Harry stared at me alot, when I caught him looking at me, he would just blush and looked away.

Someone knocked on the compartment door, it was a boy. Was this an only boys going school? It felt like one.

"Hello, have you seen a toad at all?"

"No, sorry," I said.

The others shook their head.

"He'll turn up," Harry said.

"Yes,"replied the boy and and he left.

"Don't know why he is so bothered, right Ron?" I asked.

"Yeah, if I'd brought a toad I'd loose it as quick as I could. Mind you, I bought Scabbers, so I can't talk. He might have died and you won't know the difference," Ron said.

Scabbers was Ron' fat, ugly rat. It was sleeping on Ron's lap.

"I tried to turn him yellow yesterday to make him more interesting, but the spell didn't work. I'll show you, look..." Ron said to Harry.

He rumaged around in his trunk and pulled out his ugly looking wand,"Unicorn hair is nearly poking out. Anyway-"

He had just raised his wand when the compartment door slid open again. It was the toadless boy with a girl -who was already wearing her Hogwarts robes.

Finally, a girl! I could have hugged her there and then, but I didn't.

"Has anyone seen a toad? Neville's lost one," she said in a sort of bossy voice. I already started to like her.

"We have already told him, we haven't seen it," Ron said.

But the girl wasn't paying attention."Oh, are you doing magic? Lets see then," she demanded as she sat down next to Harry.

"Er alright," Ron said, clearing his throat.

"Sunshine, daises, butter mellow,

Turn this stupid, fat rat yellow."

Ron waved his wand but nothing happened.

"Are you sure that is a real spell?" Hermione and I said in unison.

I smiled as she fixed Harry's glasses.

"Blimely, your Harry Potter! I am Hermione Granger," She introduced herself. Then she turned to us,"And who are you?"

"Rose Weasley," I said

"Nice to meet you!"

"Ron Weasley"

"Pleasure," Hermione replied.

She stood up to leave.

"Can I come with you?" I asked.

"Sure," she said smiling, which I returned.

We all went outside to another compartment.

"What house do you suppose you want to be in?" She asked me,"Personally I want to be in Gryffindor. But I suppose Ravenclaw isn't bad."

"To be honest, I haven't thought about it, though it would be nice to be in the same house as yours," I replied.

We were now friends, which was great! She was my type, bossy and all. The other boy, Neville stayed with us in the compartment, talking occasionally.

I changed into my Hogwarts robes just as the train stopped. Hermione, Neville and I hopped out of the train, to see this giant Man named Hagrid.

We got on dirty, tiny boats that took us to the school.
