Wikerstone Siblings

--The Nydisian Kingdom, Country of Eraregord, The Castle--

A nicely built carriage came to a halt at the gates of the royal court. Lady Victoria glanced out of the vehicle wondering what was causing the hold-up.

Part of Victoria was excited she'd get to see the General again. She wore her finest silk and made sure she looked undeniably beautiful just for him.

"Name?" One of the guards asked in doubt. The King had explicitly informed them that no one outside the castle should be let in until he arrives.

"Wikerstone," The coachman said while calming the horses with one of his hands.

The guard was well aware of the Wikerstone family, they were very highly valued to the throne but he didn't want to risk offending the new ruler. "Apologies but under direct orders from the King, no one is allowed through the gates," The guard said.

Upon hearing this Lady Victoria turned red out of anger. How dare they? She thought. She opened the carriage door and stepped down gracefully until she approached the guard.

Without another word, she raised her hand and struck the side of his face. "I wonder what the King will think upon hearing that your that of diligence caused his fiancee to be left out in the harsh conditions of the sun,"

The guard's eyes widened upon hearing that she was the Lord's fiancee. He muttered a series of apologies before opening the gates that led to the royal court which led to the castle.

"You're not even married yet and already you have the power of a queen," Lady Murie, one of her ladies in waiting, giggled while the rest followed suit.

As they approached the royal court, which was quite some distance from the gate, a familiar man recognized the marking on the carriage and identified it to belong to the Wikerstones. He quickly left to inform Lord Killian of the arrival of a family member.

This time when the carriage came to a halt, the coachman stepped down to open the door for the lady and her ladies in waiting.

The four beautiful women approached the entrance of the royal court and the guards pushed the gates of the court open.

Simultaneously, Lord Killian was walking down the same hall to greet his sister, but he was also wondering what she was doing here at the castle.

"Brother!" Lady Victoria called as she caught sight of her elder brother.

"I don't remember getting word of your arrival prior till today," Killian was well aware of his sister's infatuation with Lucian.

However, Victoria didn't pay heed to her brother's accusing tone. "Mhm, odd. Must've gotten lost in the mail." She said knowing fully well she never sent one.

'Milord', her ladies in waiting muttered as Lord Killian took a glance at them.

Victoria didn't wait much longer for any greetings that needed to be shared and she headed straight for the castle. She made sure that the corset she wore would amplify her bosom, making it difficult for Lucian to refuse her.

"Victoria!" Her brother called from behind her but Victoria didn't care to turn around. While cursing under his breath he followed after his sister and so did her ladies.

Victoria's heart was pounded when she arrived at the throne and without wasting a second she stepped in to see it empty.

A deep frown settled on her face, she looked to the left to see if the man she was looking for was in the gardens but no one was there.

"Where is His Highness?" She asked one of the guards while resisting the urge to grit her teeth.

On cue, the others finally caught up with her. "He won't be back until later this week. I'll prepare a carriage for you to head back to Balewen in the morning, younger sister."

"Nonsense. I'll stay here until His Highness returns," Victoria pressurized. She wasn't the type to not get what she wanted.

Before Killian could deny her request, Victoria caught sight of a maid. "You!" The maid immediately turned and looked at Lady Victoria with wide eyes. "Prepare a room in the castle for my ladies and prepare a room for myself in the King Quarters."

"I'm sorry, Milady, no one is allowed in the King's Quarters without his direct permission," The maid said. Victoria was about to reign hell on the poor girl but Killian had stopped her.

"Prepare a room for all the ladies in the left-wing," Killian said to Lily before she bowed and scurried off.

Lady Victoria groaned inwardly upon hearing this. The left-wing was the farthest place in the castle from the King's quarters.

"No worries, he'll have me moved into his quarters the day he arrives," Victoria said. Until her King arrives, just the thought of him makes her smile.
