Farewell

Blue*

It's my second day at the store, things are going well and even though the pay is a little low, I can earn what I need to survive. At the beginning, it was a bit difficult to get used to it, although it really continues to be, but luckily little Jun helped me to learn the order, the prices and how this little shop works.

I had some missed calls last night but I didn't pay any attention to it I was very exhausted. So while I'm getting ready to go to work I decide to call back, I go straight to the nightstand that I have near the bed and pick up my phone.

I start calling that unknown number, after the third ring someone answers.

—Good? Well, who's talking? —No one answers, absolutely nothing is heard, so I cut the call.

Within a few minutes I receive a call from that number.

—Good afternoon .. I'm the secretary of the Santillan publishing house and I was calling to inform you that you are one of those chosen to be hired. —I was speechless.

—Thank you, thank you very much.— A big smile forms on my lips.

—Yes, yes, tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. at the publishing house.— It's the last thing he says and he cuts the call.

The first thing I do is start jumping from the excitement on my bed like crazy, I'm so happy that I also give little screams of excitement.

After calming down a bit, I remember something: How will I tell Jun that I no longer need to go to the store because I already got a job?

Surely he will feel bad since he said that nobody asked about the job and he will have to work double shift since his store works 24 hours a day ... now the emotion is leaving me a little ...

Although I don't have to feel bad I've barely known him for a few days ... but I can't help it.

After thinking about how to tell Jun, I decided to go to work for the last day ... maybe that will make me feel a little better. When I get to the store, I find Jun playing a little with his cell phone. Sometimes I don't understand how he is entertaining for so many hours and he even loses customers.

—Hey, how are you?—He lifts his face a little and greets me with a smile. "Did you finish playing?—He shakes his head. —Then why did you look away from your phone?.

He doesn't speak, he just stares at me for a few seconds.

—Yes, I finished playing I was waiting for you to change turns.—He pauses for a little while looking doubtful. — I wanted to talk to you about something ...

I also have something to tell you ... but I prefer to hear it first.

—Sure, tell me what's wrong?—Hesitate for a few seconds ...—Okay, take your time.

—What happens is that I have to fire you ...— This is so convenient because I was going to resign. — It's that I got another job and I will leave this store for a while since I feel that I should have other purposes in this life and not just a small shop.

I don't know what to tell him ... the truth.

—To be honest I was also going to quit because I got a job at a publishing house and I thought that would help me.— He lets out a nervous laugh. —I didn't know how to say it either.

—Don't worry, I understand you ... thanks for the two days working here, you were very helpful. He places a hand behind his head and starts scratching. —If you don't mind I hope to keep in touch.

What a cute young man, he gives me a lot of tenderness as he gets nervous.

—Of course we can even go drink together. —Although on second thought I don't think it's a good idea, he looks much younger than me, and if someone sees us drinking they can report me for giving a minor a drink.

Noticing my silence he decides to speak.

—Don't worry if I can drink I'm much older than you.—That unleashes a great curiosity within me.

—So how old are you really?— He doesn't answer. — Did you know it's rude to lie to your elders?

—Yes it is, but I'm not lying because I'm much older than you.

After insisting so much to tell him how old he is, the only thing I got from him was "a gentleman does not reveal his age." Am I the only one who gets irritated when left with curiosity?

For the rest of the night we spent it laughing. I also told him a little about myself and him. It's time to go home so Jun helps me close the store. On the way home he offers to accompany me, I should have said no since I barely knew him recently and he could be someone dangerous since you never know ... but I feel so much trust with him, it's as if I've known him all my life.

When we are passing through the alley I remember the fight with the fat guys and I can't help but laugh.

—Hey, what are you laughing at?— Hearing me laugh he laughs too.

I tell him the story of how it all happened and he laughs with me, his laugh is so contagious. He walks a few steps ahead of me and I can't help but look at his body, I feel like a pervert although I can't appreciate anything because he wears his coats a little loose but the only thing that is noticeable is that he has broad shoulders and is much taller that I. Apparently he realizes that I am looking at him, he turns to see me and gives me a small smile when he does that I only think of one thing: "He is little, you have to take care of him" his face looks like someone very young and it makes me want to see him as my younger brother since I never had one.
