Vol II | Chapter XIII

◹ Return of the true sith ◸

Set in the Star Wars universe, but in an alternate reality, the Eternal Fleet has extinguished the Old Republic and the Jedi Order, with the exception of the Sith Empire who still stood against the Eternal Fleet led by the Eternal Emperor.

In this story, a Dark Force user; Loran, would be the subject that will be followed in the unfolding story of this change in the universe.

Author's Announcement

Just like the previous advertisement I conducted (Resident Evil: Untold), which was shamelessly postponed. This one, however, I decided would be my escape whenever I want a change of story/scene. So, what else than something similar but remotely different?

In a single decisive swing, the refined shovel bashed through Indigo's cybertronic limb – her hand as she protected herself from the onslaught – but the Watchmaster continued without a hint of slowing, much less stopping as she continuously battered the disgustful presence.

However, despite the sheer determination that the Watchmaster possessed, like any other korpsmen she was reminded – sometimes it wasn't enough – about the literal difference between her and her opponent. Then just like the sudden shift of a blowing wind, the direction changed. Unable to bear to watch anymore of her enemy's pointless 'struggles' to fight against her, Indigo decided then to cease the futile attempt, almost like an offer to bestow mercy at the insignificant ant that was merely 'biting' her and hoping to win.

'This ends now' Indigo declares, wishing to end the poor roaches suffering and deliver them their demise.

Meanwhile, Batman has just discovered the captive Supergirl who had been weakened enough to a state she was barely unconscious – and if his memories serve correct, Kryptonians don't need rest or sleep as he learned from Clark – which so he carried her out the darkened cell that hid her from the sun.

It took maybe a long moment before Supergirl began to stir awake, and when she did open her eyes, she pushed herself up frantically looking for Indigo, but was only met with Batman's dark cloak as she looked to where the vigilante was gazing at.

"No… the city!" Kara's voice was still meekly strained, but the worries that laced with it determined how strong she felt at that moment – since her city was literally on flames and flashing lights from exploding bombs, as well as the distant sounds of gunshots rupturing the echoes of the city-turned-battlefield.

"You're awake, that's good. I just overheard a transmission about Indigo, I believe your sister; Alex, is on it. But I doubt she and her team could handle it alone."

Batman spoke without turning, remaining on looking at the city ablaze and chaos. "Indigo has to be stopped." He added, to which he finally turned to look at Kara – especially her eyes as he scanned them – and offering a hand to help her stand. "She must be." Batman took in the emphasis of the word 'must' but hid any sort of reaction he could potentially display. With that, the two Superheroes made their way to the location Alex and the Death Korps Guardsmen were.

Drawing close to the scene, they had met with the National Guards on the rear that was guarding the perimeter. But when they had arrived at the location, they looked at the bodies and blood that stained and littered the place. However, before they could ask for Alex's whereabouts, the sound of shots fired within the warehouse told two the telltale sign.

In a grand entrance as both descended from the ceiling or the rooftop, Batman could tell from the unraveled scene that the Watchmaster had battled Indigo all by herself – based on the broken damaged mask she donned and the tired stance she presented – while still defiantly standing up against an unmatchable foe.

"This is it!" Indigo shouts in a final act as she put it all in this last act to end the soldier. But before she could act on what she was just about to inflict, Supergirl held no restraints in shooting her powerful laser at Indigo. Kara even goes as far as to scream as she poured her emotions into it. 'The thousands that must have been caught, the homes of these people, their loved ones – it all started because of you!'

"That's enough! We have her!" Batman yells as he tugs at her shoulder to catch the Kryptonian's attention before he softened his tone, "You got her. That's enough."

Easily understanding that the Superhero; Supergirl was conflicted, he made the choice to handle it from then as he walked in front of the Kryptonian as he approached Indigo who experienced the full heat she received from Supergirl. But as he strode towards the defeated villain, he felt a familiar trick he had been influenced several times – mainly from the master of fear; Scarecrow – yet he disregarded it almost as if it was nothing.

"It's over Indigo. Deactivate the androids, this fight is over, the war is over."

Indigo remained quiet as she painfully moved off the floor, picking herself up with too much effort to just remain standing. "You are sadly mistaken; it is just beginning." She could only offer a smile to illustrate how she found this funny. "If you haven't noticed, but based on the cautious look you express I doubt so. As you've sensed, I've been remodified to something this galaxy has not witnessed before. I. Am something made anew."

Before Indigo could continue, the rest of the Justice League arrived just in time to hear the rest. "The soldiers there, they belong to the Imperium. Just like them, I now belong to someone within their realm."

Instantaneously, every superhero thought back to the idea and memories of what the Imperium faced. If the Imperium could be viewed as a powerhouse, then the ones it battles are such as well the powerhouses – and if the Imperium was sketchy before, its enemies were cautiously beware by them.

"We should take her to Green Lantern, and gather information off her and-" in the midst of planning their next course of action, Batman was shocked to see the Watchmaster hurriedly dashed over to the heavily damaged Indigo with a shovel. Despite sustaining excruciating injuries, Masha was too much in a mindless state that she went to eliminate the converted agent of chaos. Too much drunk in the hateful nature towards the now-known corrupted filth.

Once again, with a raised hand that firmly grasp the handle of a shovel, the Watchmaster used the edge at the severely damaged part of the head. Then just like that, the Imperial guardsman of the Imperium, belonging to the Death Korps of Krieg, she had just killed Indigo – witnessed by the core members of the Justice League.
