I looked at my mother who was very disturbed after talking to Prateek uncle and whatever she is doing is also disturbed. My eyes were following her every actions only. I don't know what is eating her alive but I am sure that it won't leave her easily.

"Ma" I called her and she looked at me with questioning eyes. "Should I help you?" I asked her and she again looked at me with questioning eyes and I pointed her at the cooker which she had put on the stove.

"You don't have to help me. I am all good." I nodded but wasn't satisfied with her answer. I know that there is something which is eating her alive but she won't tell me. Well I don't really know what is wrong until she would tell me. I stood up and went towards her and she was still worried about something.

"Ma." I said and she looked forward where I was sitting a while back and she was confused when she didn't found me and then she looked at me.

"I had told you that you don't have to help me."

"I had heard that once already but I want to ask you something. Can I?"

"Sure what is it?"

"What is eating you alive?" She froze for a moment before she came back to reality and started to do her work again and with same distract focus.

"What do you mean by that Kiara?"

"Ma, I hope you are well aware that I am already 22 and your face is saying everything. You are worried about something and that is why you can't even focus on anything which you are doing. You are doing work as well and also worried about something and this all thing is making you do extra work. You are doing both the work at the same time and in that either of your work is disturbed." She didn't said anything but was doing her work.

"I will be worried only when I had got to know that one day you will leave me." I was confused at her answer.

"Why will I leave you?" She looked at me and then quickly looked away.

"Won't you marry someone one day and have a family?"

"You are worried about me getting married." She nodded. I hugged her from the back and for a moment I felt as if I can't feel her and she is just made up of gas and if I will press her harder than she would disappear but thinking that I am imagining things I let it go.

"I won't leave you easily so don't worry and there are so many upcoming days we could spend." I said and she smiled. I know one thing that even if we don't have so many memory but yet I feel as if I am attached to her. If she is my real mother then who is at the home and live with our family.

"I know that but whenever I think about this I just feel upset."

"Then don't feel upset because as long as you want I can stay here."

"No, Kiara. You can't stay over here for long. You have to go and that day would be a very heartbreaking day for me." I was confused at her words. She wiped off her tears which were rolling down her face.

"Ma, don't worry. Even if I have to go someday so don't worry you have me till that time and be happy about that."

"You go to your room and freshen up and come down for lunch in a while. Okay?" I nodded and started to went towards my room and before that I looked back at my mother and saw her all worried once again and this had confirmed me that something else is eating her alive and why would she would be angry when I mentioned that I would stay here as long as she want? There is something which I don't know and she also doesn't want me to know. I reached my room and put the curtain aside and saw the place from where the light was coming last night. That place is also holding something which I don't know and I don't know how many secrets does this place is hiding from me. I want to know so many things which is going on over here. I freshen up and went downstairs.

"Before you eat go give this to Veer." She handed me the tray and I nodded. I went up and knocked on the door before I entered in the room and found Veer was sleeping and I kept the food and was about to wake him up when I felt a hand over my wrist and being pulled and I landed on his chest.

"You are awake." And he opened his eyes and smiled.

"Yes I am. I just wanted to have you in my arms."

"It is not time for some romance mister. Come on and sit up and have your lunch and I am also going down to have the lunch." I said and come out of his arms and stood up.

"I am bored living in this four walls."

"Come on Veer it is about few days more and after that you won't be inside this four walls." He made a irritated face and I chuckled. "Have the food like a good boy." I said and come out from that place and went downstairs and found that my food was on the table already. I sat down and started to eat the food but I realized that my mother didn't have anything as well. I looked at my mother who was doing something.

"Ma won't you have the food?" She was again frozen.

"Don't worry about me Kiara. You have the food and I will have it later." I nodded and finished my food. For a moment I felt that there is something which is not fitting right but I shook it off. I was feeling to take the nap and I went inside my room and laid down on the bed to let my sweet sleep consume me
