My parents told me that a soul mate is the best gift you ever had from the Gods. Every one of us had its soul mate. We immortals can feel and can see who our soul mates are. But humans can't. Soul mate means the one who is destined for you. It means your other half.

I was just sixteen years old when I fall in love with a she-wolf. She was beautiful and kind. She was sixteen years old too and we have the same class. I was so in love with her that I even think that she is my soul mate. We have been in a relationship for a year. I say I love her and she says it back.

But when she turned seventeen, she found her mate. She said that she never loves me that much. She said that she still wants her soul mate. I let her go. She has her soul mate and I have mine too. I hope that she's still alive and waiting for me too. I was too fooled to be impatient. If I just waited for my mate and do not dare to fall in love, I am not the one who is suffering from heartbreak.

I was right for letting her go. She has her true love. I was just the guy who should date by those girls. If I had mated with her and she rejected her mate, the Blue Moon Princess is the one who will suffer. Our parents always told us that we should never reject our mate. We should love them unconditionally.

'It's been a month and she's still sleeping.' I told Clarisa, Minerva's mother.

I found my mate in the Blue Moon Kingdom. She is an Enchantress. She is beautiful. She is full of wisdom and full of passion. She is a great planner in war. She is just perfect peculiar. I had begged Clarisa not to bring her back on the Blue Moon palace. I said I will take the responsibility to take care of her while she is sleeping. And she gave me a chance.

'You know, you should take a rest. You got a responsibility in your town. It's a big responsibility, Yves.'

'Yes... as the King's Beta I have a big responsibility to perform the Alpha's responsibility.' I sighed. 'I will check on something.' I kissed my mate's head and went out the door.

I rode my convertible car and roam around the town to see everything. I enter the martial arts room and they stopped.

'Alpha Yves...' they bow and I bow at them with smiles. They are so adorable wearing dubok the taekwondo outfit.

Yes, I was called Alpha here but I am still the Beta of my Alpha. Nathan is now the King and he assigned me as the new Alpha of our town. I have no choice to take responsibility but my loyalty will still on my Alpha. He was the great Alpha and now, King. He had waited for his true mate to come and never fall in love with others. He is just like me wishing every day for our mate.

'How's it going, boys and girls?'

'Great, sensei Marcus gave us candies and chocolates.' One of the girls said. I chuckled and look Marcus over my shoulder.

'The kids are doing great in controlling their strength.' Marcus said. He is one of the best fighters here in our pack.

'Job well done. Queen Zoë sent treats for you.' I told them.

The cheers and clapped their hands. Zoë is a very cool Queen that I have ever known. Terence and Dina enter the room with baskets of foods just for the kids. They run to them and started giving them the treats.

Terence and Dina are soul mates. They met at the palace just right after I met my Minerva. She's so cheerful and flirty through Terence. Terence can't resist her either. I told them that I have to go and they nod.

I went to the packhouse and at the back, in the woods, I take off my clothes and shifted to my wolf. I run around our territory to see how everything is going. There are camera's outside the territory to see if there's rogue coming. The patroller nod at me and I nod back.

I ran back to the packhouse. I shifted and wore my clothes. I enter in the back door of the packhouse. I didn't expect that I will meet in Rica in the kitchen. She was wearing her boyfriend's shirt while making a sandwich.

'Oh, hey!' she greets with smiles.

'Hi!' I greet too with smiles. She was the girl in my past. I moved on and I wanted my mate.

'How's it going?'

'Fine.' I just answer and walk to the stair.

I am not in the mood talking to people right now. All I just want is my mate to wake up. I don't know why she is still sleeping. Can't she see that I was worried? And the thing that she stopped wishing for her mate still bothers me.

I went to my room and take a bath. I am tired and hungry too. So, I went to the kitchen and saw Rica with her boyfriend Dustin cuddling on the counter. They stopped and left. Yeah, that's great! Don't do it here in the kitchen where everyone takes their foods.

I open the big fridge and pull the cheese, ham, bacon, and mayonnaise. I grabbed the bread from the basket on the counter and slice it. I fry the bacon and ham then chopped it into tiny pieces. I put it all in the sliced bread with mayonnaise and cheese. After everything for my sandwich, I grabbed the bottle of coke from the fridge and run to the living room turning on the TV.

I was shocked when someone stole a kiss from my cheek. I rolled my eyes on her playful smiles.

'Hey, there baby boy.' I hate the way she calls me baby boy.

'I am not your baby anymore!'

'Yeah right... you are the Alpha now...'

'Beta...' I correct.

'Nathan gave the position to you. You are the Alpha of our town.'

'I know... but still I am the Beta of Nathan.'

Okay, that's my big sister. She's a doctor too like Natasha. They are best friends and so on. Yhana had found her mate when she was just 19. Now, they are engaged and the wedding will be next month.

'Okay...' she surrenders. 'How's your mate?'

'She doesn't want to wake up.'

'I see. I saw her records. She's normal and nothing is wrong with her. I guess it was her mind wanted to sleep.'

'I will check on her later to see if she wakes up.'

'If she wakes up she will go back to the Kingdom.'

I didn't speak. She was right. I will no longer have her on my side. I wanted to be with her and closer to her. I wanted to cuddle her every morning and every night.

I take a bite of my sandwich.

'I can't stop her from leaving.'

'Don't worry baby bro...' she patted my head. I slapped it away.

'Don't baby bro me.'

'If the King had given you the ritual to be the Alpha, she will be our Luna... It is just very complicated now that we are losing heir in our town.'
