Chapter 8

―Minerva the Enchantress―

He said those words that make my stone heart cracks and become a real one. He promised to love me. He was my half and I was his. I look down on the necklace. Does this mean that Cupid strikes his heart with his arrow?

'Please, open your mind to me? So, that I can read you.'

'No...' I shook my head. 'I will not let you invade my mind.'

'But you were invading my mind since then.' He was right but I am not going to deny it.

'Yes, and you can close it too. It's not my fault that your mind is always open.'

'But I wanted you to know that I am taking this seriously. You are my mate and I don't want to lie to you.' I didn't say anything. I don't have to say anything. 'I will call you every hour and I will text you. Please reply, okay? Then I will try to visit you here every weekend. Don't go on a date with Sebastian or anyone.'

I just look at him directly and don't know what to say or what to do. His mark is burning on my neck. I can still feel his lust. His wolf is staring at me from his eyes. He wanted me like every day he is wishing for me.

'You will reply to my texts... are we clear?' I don't take orders from anyone except for the King and the Queen. He should learn to use the first magic word for me. I am not his submissive and he wasn't my dominant. I was my dominant and submissive myself.

'I don't take orders. And just so you know, I am not your submissive like you did to your sluts.' I told him straight forward. I look away and clench my fist with the pendant.

'I'm sorry. I guess that it belongs to the things that I should fix on myself.' He paused. 'But please... reply to me or even try to answer my calls. I might get crazy worried about you.' I just sighed. 'Minerva... please...'

'Okay... but I am not promising anything!' he smiled and I just look away. 'You have to know that I was 2 years older than you. So show respect and don't ever use the tune you are always using to your sluts.'

'It was past... don't bring it back. I said I'm sorry.'

'Yes, I am fully aware that it was past, and I am just saying not to use the dominant tune on me.'

'Yes, ma'am...' he smiled.

'Now get out of my sight.'

'Can you give me time to admire your room?' he asked looking around my room and more looks like a garden.

There are lots of flowers on the pots. I use my magic to give them springtime. I use them on making potions for healing.

'You make all of these? Including the crossbow on the wall?' he asked pointing to my special crossbow.

I and my brother Mars from the name of Greek God of war Ares, made it when I was just five.

He was Ares' apprentice. My father told me that my brother was too open-hearted with everyone. Ares had told him that in the war he doesn't need the heart to win. He was persuasive to win the war in the rogue attack. He made commands and kill every rogue who is on his way. He protects me... that's when he opens his heart to save me from the witch. It killed him.

'My brother and I made it when I was just five.' He smiled surprised.

'You are really skillful.' He crawled closer to me. I fold my knees hugging it with my arms. 'So, where is he?'

'He died in the war.' He stopped off guard.

'I'm sorry...' he caressed my hair.

'Seferis and Helena killed him. They took his heart and his immortality. That is why the witch is still alive.'

'Don't worry, we will get them.' He leaned his chin on my knee stroking my hair. He stopped. I guess Terence mind-linked him. He moves his face closer to me and he gently kissed my nose. 'I hate to leave but we have some things to fix in the town.'

'I know we are all preparing for the war—' he snatched my lips kissing me slowly and gently. He teasingly bit my lower lip and hugged me tightly.

'I will miss you. But no worries. We can always video call each other.'

'I am not worried.' I rolled my eyes. He chuckled pinching my cheeks. I grimace at him and pushed his hands.

'You are really cute... and beautiful.' He admires staring at me.

'You know, just get out.' I pointed to the door.

He giggles and nuzzles his nose on the crook of my neck on the right. He slipped out of the bed. He only had a towel around his waist and my brother's robe. I look away and waited for him to get out.

'I will call you later.' he did get out. Great, I need to breathe. I dropped my back on the bed and stare at the ceiling.

Then after a few seconds, I decided to go out. He was getting out of the bathroom only wearing his pants. He smiled at me. I just turn back and walk downstairs. The front door opens and my father gets in removing his boots. He looked at the pair of boots of Yves. He stopped and looked at me. I only shrugged.

He shook his head stepping on one step stair. He removed his winter coat and hangs it next to the coat of Yves. Yves runs down the stairs and stopped when he saw my father. He was half-naked and just getting ready. Oh Geez! My father might think that we had sex. He held my chin and he looks at the bite on my neck.

'You know that I hate to see you in bruises, or wounds... and bites.' He said touching the bite with his two fingers. A warm sensation flows into my wound from his fingers.

'Good afternoon, sir.' Yves greets nodding his head.

My father just stared at him. Yves put his sweater on. My father walks to the sofa and sits there after putting the bag on the table. He wears his winter coat and his boots. Then, Yves kissed my lips that left me off guard.

'I will call you.' He was about to kiss me again but I pointed two fingers at his lips and pushed him. 'Okay...' he nods. 'I will go now, sir.'

'Take care.' My father said. Yves smiled and nods. He left and then I face my father who is grinning. 'I thought you don't want him... I always prayed to the Goddess of love to make your stone heart into a real one.'

'Ah, Eros... God of love son of Aphrodite.' I rolled my eyes.

'That's me!' he winks. 'I was half God... but I wasn't Eros... I was just named after my brother Cupid. But my love, you are beautiful and alluring to everyone's eyes. You know that a young man can't resist you. It's okay if you say you made love with him early in the afternoon.'

'May the Gods and Goddesses be with you, father!' I exclaimed to him sardonically. 'I didn't make love with him. I just told him to take a bath because it's cold outside. He wanted to talk to me before he goes! Gosh! Why should I even have to explain myself to you!' and I walk to the stairs, frustrated.
