Betrayal

 Phil entered the medical room where they were.

 "What up?" asked Alan.

 "It what we feared," said Phil. "They knew. No, they caused this. That bastard wants to make Schaffe into a crazy creature."

 "Those bastards," said Ian.

 "What the plan?" asked Alan.

 "I do not know. They have dismissed us but they would not let Schaffe go," said Phil.

 "Damn," said Alan. Phil sits down and feels defeated. 

 "I guess. I have no choice here," Phil thinks to himself.

 A week goes by and Schaffe finally wakes up back in a brotherhood medical room with Max waiting for him with Sara.

 "Max Majors, where am I? Last, I remember I blacked out in the camp," said Schaffe.

 "He does not remember what happened?" questioned Sara in thought.

 "Schaffe, we have a problem? Phil has betrayed the Brotherhood of Steel," said Max.

 "What? Phil would never do that," said Schaffe with shock.

 "He is a traitor. He has stolen private info from the brotherhood archives and head to a vault in upstate New York," said Max. "An it up to you to end him."

 "What? No fuck you. He my friend," said Schaffe. He gets up from the bed even though he was shacked down. He was able to destroy them as he got up.

 "That's sad to hear. But what of Alan and Ian? They are being held in custody for what Phil has done. So, what would it be one friend or two friends," said Max.

 "you are threatening me!?" asked Schaffe in rage.

 "Now, think about this. I will set you and your friends free and with wealth so you boys do not need to work again," said Max.

 "I guess I have no choice here," said Schaffe.

 "Good," said Max.

 "He not planning to let you go easy, Schaffe," thinks Sara with an upset look.

 Schaffe was dropped off outside the woods in the area between Ogdensburg and Massena which was where a vault was located where Phil was located. He was wearing a light blue yellow vault-tec logo on it with blue jeans and black boots. He was wearing a leather black jacket.

 "Here I come Phil," said Schaffe. "Why would you do this." Schaffe would walk up the trail and see a cave that had a vault door in it with the number eight on it. Schaffe sees it open a bit and walks in.

 Schaffe walks and sneaks around the vault hallways which the halls were dark. He would come to a room where he saw Phil in there working on a terminal with his back towards the door. He was wearing a blue dress shirt with black pants with a brown trench coat. Schaffe tries to sneak up right behind Phil. But before he got close to Phil he turned and aimed his handgun at Schaffe's forehead. Schaffe has his gun aimed at his stomach in a vital area.

 "Well, I did not expect this?" Phil was surprised by Schaffe.

 "Phil, why did you do it? Why betray the brotherhood? no, why betray us?" questioned Schaffe.

 "Why should I answer that? They did something I did not like and I wanted to screw them over," said Phil. 

 "Ian and Alan are in custody because of this. you want to throw their lives away?" asked Schaffe.

 "I made my peace," said Phil. "now, the real question is can you pull that trigger or is this where your story ends?" 

 "You made your peace? That bullshit you're going to throw us away like this," said Schaffe. Phil then cocks the hammer back on his gun and stays silent. Schaffe was speechless it felt like seconds became minutes until they both pulled the trigger.
