The Beginning of the End

They were back at their base and Schaffe after having a strange experience was in the bath scrubbing his body in a metal tub, they found in a hardware store as he now stinks of whatever Acedia's insides smelt like. The rest of them had lit a lot of nice-smelling candles so they did not smell him in the other room.

 "Man, poor bastard. But I guess he had no choice," said Phil.

 "Yeah, but another beast down, isn't it?" asked Punk.

 "True, it feels we may be entering the endgame," said Phil. "Diablo is probably aware of it."

 "I wonder what our Alan and Ian are doing?" asked Jess.

 "Probably raising hell in the institute wondering where we are," said Phil. "It going to be a hell of a story when we tell them." Schaffe comes in a black robe. Jess makes a face that he still smells and when he sees that he heads back.

 "Wait, I did not mean…," said Jess.

 "Do not take offense. He still smells like shit," said Phil. "He has been in there for nearly eight hours which is insane for someone not trying to smell like shit."

 Meanwhile in the strange tower, Diablo sits on his throne which was made of all different remains it is dark in this room.

 "It has been a while Diablo," said A Voice in the dark.

 "Well, Invidia. What brings you to my domain?" asked Diablo.

 "Acedia has been slayed," said Invidia.

 "It must have been Schaffe Deathclaw. He has been a thorn in my side," said Diablo. 

 "Your old self," said Invidia.

 "Yes, or should I say an alternate one who sided with the humans," said Diablo.

 "I see. The ghosts of your past shown up Diablo," said Invidia.

 "He will be gutted alive," said Diablo. "By hand, I will just have to kill Schaffe Deathclaw again. This would show those humans that their final hope is dead."

 "Then it's time we head into action," said Invidia.

 "Attack the human settlements and slaughter them all," said Diablo.

 Schaffe manages to get the smell of his body and sits down as Punk makes dinner for him.

 "Damn, I thought I never get that smell of me," said Schaffe.

 "You wasted about twenty bottles of body wash," said Phil. 

 "He does not smell anymore," said Jess. 

 "Win in my book," said Schaffe. They hear their terminal go off and Phil answers it. He sees it as all four leaders.

 "Hello?" asked Phil. 

 "Yeah, we have a problem Levithan is attacking the settlement," said The Other Punk.

 "What?" questioned Phil.

 "Yeah, we could use some help as it also an army of deathclaws with him," said The Other Punk.

 "Ira is moving as well with an army as well," said The Other Vince.

 "I see an army move as well. Diablo must be getting desperate now that The Nest is gone. Schaffe helps Punk out and when you finish gather the people and head for Jess's camp. We will do the same with our Vince it seems the final battle is about to begin," said The Other Sara. 

 "Very well. Good speed," said The Other Vince. They hung up.

 "Alright, guys time for us to roll out," said Schaffe.
