Chapter 10

(Important Note: Usually I write in a first-person format and sometimes switch between perspectives, But from now on I feel that Using a narrator's point of view would be the best so thats that)

The crowd went wild as the tournament began, The first round was more than just one-sided, The participants entered the ring and the person on the left just appeared behind the person on the right and stabbed him in the heart, causing a puncture wound that caused blood to spill out and the person on the right just fell down dead.

Oh I forgot to mention, you enter the tournament at your own risk, if you die...well that's what the consent form that all the participants had to sign was for.

There was only one way to win, either kill the other person or if he forfeits in which case killing him would be equivalent to murder and so would land you with charges.

Anyways people in the Stands were gasping in shock, no, not because a person died - That happens all the time, it's the fact that a person can just kill someone so effortlessly and without hesitation.

Next up the match was Valerie Fexigon against some insignificant 3rd year who immediately forfeited, I mean who would want to fight one of the strongest student in the academy knowing they could die? oh yea that would be Railan.

And then there was the third match that was very and I mean very shocking for Railan and Rez.

A student who was wearing a full battle gear and used a light spear coated in a purple liquid - presumably poison.

Railan and Rez were just watching and then came the shock, Crackling sound was heard as The person with the spear teleported behind the other person and drove his poison spear toward his neck, instantly killing the other person.

What came as a shock was this second year had just used - Space rift, Rez's ability, there was a chance he was Rez's long lost brother, but that was highly unlikely, but what did make sense was that he could have been the one to order people to kill Nez in order to obtain Space rift.

Nez's mind was overwhelmed by emotion as flashes of his brother's dead body went through his mind

"Calm down Rez" Said a voice inside his head, it was Nez "That could possibly be him, but we need to think this through"

but Rez's mind was going through serious trauma.

"hey you okay?" Asked Gem looking at the shocked expression on Rez and Railan's face

"Yea, just that now I wanna read the dude's head off" Said Railan with a darkened expression that covered his face

"Ummm...may I ask why" Said Gem who clearly looked confused

"That person with the spear.....he...he killed my.... my brother and t- took h-his axel" Said Rez with his eyes wide and full of sorrow

Gem suddenly looked a lot more determined and said "Your next Railan, so if you win, then you get to rip his head off, well unless he forfeits"

"NEXT UP IS RAILAN VS FEL" boomed a voice

Railan walked up to the stage and saw eyes searing into him, He looked at his opponent and readied his legs. His opponent had brown hair tinted with a little blonde, he wore armour which was a shade of purple which coated his entire body except his face. He looked very confident, as though he just got a pep talk that really pumped him up.

"BEGIN!" the voice boomed

Railan shot forward causing huge gusts of winds that blew behind him as he launched toward Fel. Fell just stood there until there was a graze in his shoulder, and Railan was right behind him.

Fel looked at his cut and smiled, He put his hand over it and it healed, Well this would be interesting, but it was over, Railan felt the inner body of Fel and Fel choked until he spat up something and fainted, when looking closely you could see that Fel had coughed up his heart and that he was dead. As the results were announced, the crowd was screaming on top of their lungs - They had just witnessed a mysterious axel and we're clearly looking forward to the matches that follow.

As Railan closed his eyes again he could feel Fel's Axel crystal inside him melting and mixing with his crystal, it would have been soo painful that a person would faint, but that doesn't matter for Railan as he made a small cut on his palm and saw it heal at a fairly fast pace

'this would be very useful in the future.' thought Railan feeling the new power that was emerging inside him, he was going to get space rift back - NO MATTER WHAT!

As Railan returned to the participants area he could see that Rez was still pretty shaken and Gem was trying to comfort him, but to no avail.

"Chill Rez you can see Railan rip the guy's head off" Said Gem while Rez just stood there with widened eyes frozen.

'Hey Rez" said Railan grabbing his arm "we need to talk" taking him to the likable pocket dimension.

Rez snapped out of it and said

"If you win, take back the axel crystal"

"Yeah and use it for yourself" Said Nez appearing next to them "It could be a valuable axel to have, and it can go perfectly with bloodfallen and you can take an axel can't you, I see you have a healing axel" He continued keenly observing Everything.

"That would be great, give the guy a taste of his own medicine" said Rez slowly recovering from his shock

"Yep we're all set to go" Said Railan cheerfully

"Whoa how come you're all good already?" Asked Gem surprised at the extremely sudden change on demeanor

"Well we got our ways" Said Rez and Railan on unison

"You two seem like a couple" Said Gem giggling

"Shut up" said the two glaring at Gem

"AND DUE TO ALL THE MATCHES BEING OVER IN VERY LITTLE TIME, THE CONTESTANTS FROM GROUP B WILL ALSO BATTLE TODAY!" the voice of the headmaster boomed

"I got the first match" said Gem as she walked over to the stage, she winked at Railan and went straight in.

She started off by jumping up and using a few bone poles that protruded from her skin to maneuver in the air and then as the surprised participant watched she had already had a bone spear digging through his arms that blocked and straight into his skull instantaneously killing him.

She retracted the bones protruding from her skin and walked back, and surprisingly there was no hole in her armour

"Hey if I may ask, is that an enchanted armour?" Asked Rez

"Yeah it is" said Gem grinning "It's transforming Mana leather, made a really good armour that can repair itself and the bone spikes don't damage it"

"Look, it's my turn" said Rez as a devilish grin spread across his face

He walked upto the stadium and thought 'I need to get off some steam' He pulled his daggers

"BEGIN" The voice boomed

Rez's opponent was clearly confused as Rez was there for a second and wasn't there another second, oh did I forget to mention, Rez mastered Space rift to the point where it dosent make the crackling sound.

He teleported behind his opponent and there was two short sword through him, one etched into his skull and the other driving through his heart. I don't even know how the hell the audience watch so many people dying and still remain sane.
