"Luke Lewis Win" Amon's voice brought Luke to reality.

I won! I won against ability rank D!

Luke couldn't suppress his feeling anymore and shouted excitedly, "YESS!! I WON!"

Then using the skill "Control," he quickly unplugged the small rock from his ears.

Amon chuckled seeing his junior behaviour. He then decides to pour the cold water to the delighted Luke, "What are you excited about? It's just a normal D Rank. I could beat several out him without lifting my both hands."

Luke rolled his eyes in annoyance but didn't reply since Amon's words were quite true. He shouldn't feel content about his victory defeating Rank D. Not only our rank doesn't differ too much, but his opponent also didn't expect Luke's ability would easily counter his ability.

'So many rewards, huh?' Luke mused before summoned his system.

When Luke's sight was focused on the system before him, he caught Elwis struggling hard to stand up from the corner of his eyes. As he was the one who injured him, Luke felt quite bad and decide to help him. He directly approached Lewis and helped him up.

Elwis stunned for a moment before accepting Luke's help. After balancing his body, Elwis said sincerely, "Thank you. I was not expecting my ability wouldn't work at you."

Luke replied with a smile, "I'm just using a cheap trick. I was quite surprised too upon finding that your ability related to sound."

During saying that sentence, Luke feels he forgetting something.

Ah!

I forgot using the "Examine" skill!?!?

If I use that skill earlier, the battle would probably ended up faster.

Luke heaved a sigh and left a mental note to himself that he shouldn't forget about examining his opponent before the battle started.

An hour passed away, and the lesson finally reached its end.

"Thank you for the people who diligently attend my lesson. Let's meet for another time." Gideon waved his hand, and gradually the crowd dispersed one by one.

Luke turned to Amon and said with a grateful tone, "Thank you for your guidance today, senior Amon."

Amon waved his hand casually, "It's was my task after all. You can chat with me if you need to ask something." He handed his phone number, which Luke gladly accepted.

After handing the phone number, they separate ways since Amon said he needs to report his completed task.

Pitying himself for walking alone, Luke made his way to his dorm. While walking, he began to wonder what kind of roommates he would get since they were an E Ranker the same as him.

--10 Minutes later--

Standing outside his dorm room, Luke took a deep breath before placing his badge over the scanner. As usual, the scanner emitted a "Beep" sound before the door opened by itself. Luke already walked forward when his eyes caught something that is moving fastly toward his direction.

Luke didn't dare to stay linger and immediately activated his skill, "Control!"

Luke's serene voice resounded across the corridor, and immediately mysterious power slipped out from Luke's body, ensnaring whatever object that about to crash with him.

After blocking the unknown object, Luke squinted his eyes to see clearly what ahead of him. Luke subconsciously blurted out in shock upon realizing what thing that almost hit him, "How the fuck a crow appeared here??"

It was a little black crow that almost hit him. The crow repeatedly opened its beak as if suffocating. Realizing it was because of his skill, Luke quickly deactivate his ability. That instant, the crow dropped on the ground weakly and panting badly.

Luke lowered his body and brought the little crow upon his palm. While bringing a crow, Luke walked forward and greeted the two men staring at him in curiosity and puzzlement, "Hello, my name is Luke Lewis, and I'm a freshman that assigned here." Luke then added, "Is this crow yours?"

"Wow, I never expected that our new roommates would be this strong." The one who spoke was a man with glasses on. His hair was a mess like a bird's nest, and below his eyes, exist huge noticeable eye bags. His cheekbones were so thin that he almost looks like a person with malnutrition. What he lacks was only a sting smell to become like a zombie.

'Or he is already become a zombie but without stench?' A thought crossed his mind.

"Hehe, Sorry for our lack of manner. Welcome, welcome!" One of the men speaks embarrassedly while scratching his head. He was a plain-looking man without any special distinguish. This man was like any passerby he met on the street.

'So normal!' Luke mused in surprise. He thought the entire academy would be filled with a weirdo. It turned out there is a normal person here.

"It's fine, it's fine." Luke shook his head before forwarded his palm with a crow lying there, "Whose pet is this?

The two men exchanged glances before burst out laughing.

Luke glanced at them with an expression as if saying, 'What so funny?'

The zombie man is the first one who recovered. He then said, "Place the crow on the ground, and you will know the answer."

Luke immediately does as the zombie man order by placing the crow on the ground.

Instantly, the crow undergoes a transformation. Luke's eyes went wide at this scene, and could hardly believe his eyes. The crow gradually grew bigger and somewhat turned into a figure of a human.

The human body slowly revealed into everyone's eyes. His body is currently in a curled position. After any traces of the crow were gone, the boy stood up weakly and greeted Luke with an innocent-child smile, "Hello."

Luke finally could see the appearance of the boy before him vividly. The boy was short and quite chubby. And now he is standing stark naked in front of him.

He brushed his thought off right away and greeted the boy back, "Hello."

The zombie looking man seems already used to this since he already brought a set of clothes with him. He quickly handed it to the shorty, "Here, wear this. I can't believe you tore up another clothes."

"Sorry, Kuvar," The Shorty replied apologetically before scurried swiftly to the bathroom.

The zombie looking man then turned to Luke, "Luke Lewis, right? I'm called Kuvar Kien." He then pointed at the plain-looking man, "This guy here called...." He trailed off before abruptly turned to the plain-looking man, "What is your name again?"

Luke couldn't help but twitched the corner of his mouth, 'Is this guy really didn't remember his roommate's name?'

The plain-looking man let out a sigh before replying, "I'm called Brian Neil" then he muttered in a low voice that Luke and zombie man unable to hear, "It doesn't matter anyway. Later, they would definitely forget about my name." once again, the man heaved a sigh.

Luke didn't notice this and nodded his head before asked, "Then what about that guy who just entered the washroom?"

"He's Timothy Enn, but we usually called him shorty because of his height."

"Then you must be called a zombie man, right?" Luke added with a chuckle.

"How did you know?" Kuvar blurted out in amazement.

Luke laughed, "Just guessing."

Since Luke was a new guy here, he feels like somehow he needs to treat these three fellows a dinner. Therefore he offered, "How about a dinner tonight on me?"

Kuvar immediately approved, "Sounds cool! I'll repay you in next week."

In LSA, the students would be given a monthly allowance according to their ranks. With the credit points, you could do anything in LSA. Watching cinema, playing VR, attending a famous lesson, shopping, etc. Therefore the lower ranker tends to work hard to be able to enjoy those services.

Brian also nodded his head in agreement.
