"We've never all been gone at the same time," Nancy pleaded with big brown eyes. Her and Eduardo's bags were packed and set by their feet for their week of time off.
Nick sat in a chair in the living room, attempting to stay out of the conversation. Trisha was supposed to be having dinner with him tonight, but he suspected that may be a no go. He may not have known Trisha long, but he knew when to back off. Her employees were cornering her, and she was doing her best to stay unruffled.
Brad crossed his arms. "I'll be at my parents' house fifteen minutes away."
Eduardo, with his massive frame, towered over Trisha. "Fifteen minutes is twenty minutes too far."
"I am not a child," Trisha said through gritted teeth.
Nancy softened. "No, you aren't. But spring is the worst for those nightmares of yours. If you're alone, chica, who's going to help?"
