He moved off the wooden porch running beside the house and waited for her to do the same. Mari stared in shock when he offered his arm for her to take.

Like a real, country gentleman. Damn.

She didn't want to act like there was anything wrong with their...err...walking tour, but she didn't want to touch him either. There was no telling what her brain or body would do if they actually made contact with the delectable rancher.

She looked up at him, and he stared down at her with a raised eyebrow and smirk. He was daring her to take his arm, daring her to take this walk with him, to step off into the unknown with him...and enjoy it.

She linked her arm with his and sucked in a fortifying breath. If the Texas heat didn't kill her, her proximity to this man and his amazing biceps would.

Ty cleared his throat and started forward, and all Mari could do was follow beside him, hoping he didn't notice her hand trembling against his arm.
