Rapid footfalls sounded along the hallway and stopped at the door. A heavy hand knocked, and a voice called out, "Ty, open up." It was Cinco, and he sounded winded and alarmed.

Ty shot to his feet, but his gaze never left Mari's; uncertainty and the smoldering remnants of desire burned in his eyes. He gripped her arms and pulled her up to him, her breasts sliding over his chest, his ragged breaths pressing the planes of his hard pecks against her.

She gasped and stepped back, lowering her skirts to give her hands something to do other than pull his body to hers again.

Ty swallowed and ran his fingers through his already mussed hair. "This isn't over," he warned, his voice a rumbling whisper in the tense stillness of the clinic room.
