The Meady Ogre

Sauce was dripping down his face as he tore into his burger. His mouth was a party of different flavors as his personalized burger shocked his tastebuds. "Argh." he let out a deep groan. "This burger is so good." a satisfied sigh left his lips after he swallowed the last bite.

Suna laughed as the man next to her sounded like he was making love to his burger. "You can stop to breathe you know." She said this over a mouthful of fish taco which she was enjoying.

Elena just watched him eating that burger like a caveman would eat a slab of meat. "You are a mess." she could hardly believe the rate in which he was eating. "I wish you made those sounds with us."

Alistair saw Suna spit out some her water as she laughed uncontrollably. He almost lost it himself. "Maybe tonight if your lucky." He would glance from time to time at the troublesome four at the table opposite of theirs. The head honcho lady switched with the thunderchicken so Lyvia was now facing Alistair. He smiled everytime they made eye contact.

He polished off his fries and took a big swig of water before slouching back. He rubbed his belly, "That was amazing."

"How can you eat like that and still have a body like you do." Elena was confused as to where all his food went.

He gave her a thumbs up, "Quick metabolism babe, this is nothing."

Elena blushed at the newfound nickname. She was almost done with her salad but she was getting increasingly full. "How were the taco's Suna?" she had grown more fond of her today.

She spoke with a smile, "I was skeptical because I have no idea what a rockfish is, but it was extremely good." Suna was slouched back as well.

"Will that be all or have you guys saved room for dessert?" The waiter was back and gave Suna the dessert menu.

"I think we are ok." Alistair almost threw up at the mention of dessert. "I'll take the check though." He pulled out his wallet and gave the waiter his card. "Also, could I pay for that tables meal? I enjoyed their company." Alistair was rubbing salt into the fresh wound at this point.

"You are to big for your own briefs and trust me, I know." She was giving him a backhanded compliment.

He ignored her as he leaned back closing his eyes. A sudden clanking of silverware caused him to open one eye and look at its source. He saw a man's fists had struck the table. Thunderchicken didnt take Alistair paying for his meal to kindly.

Lyvia got up and walked towards Alistair who had his eyes closed once again. "Thank you for paying for our food, it was unnecessary but it's greatly appreciated. How can i repay you?." Lyvia refused to owe anybody anything, it was easy for people to hold that over her head.

"I was just being nice for what happened earlier. Just making sure there isn't any bad blood between us." Alistair's eyes were still closed but he could feel Lyvia's Aura just within arms reach.

"The punishment earlier was something that was wanted. My subordinate spoke out so I had to take his punishment." She realized she said she 'wanted' instead of 'needed' the punishment. She did not correct herself hoping it would slip by.

"You wanting what I gave you doesn't really count as a punishment. Also be careful, these two here don't like others making advances on me." Alistair opened his eyes to look at Lyvia.

"I didnt mean it like that, it was a mix up and I'm not interested in you. I mean I am but not like that." Lyvia was getting visibly flustered. "I will not fight these two over you."

Elena chuckled lightly. "Dont worry, he's just trying to get a reaction out of you." She decided to smack Alistairs leg, "He's simply too big for his own briefs, i mean that physically and figuratively." Elena winked at Lyvia.

"Hey I'm sitting right here. Leave her be, she doesn't need to know what's what." Alistair could see how red Lyvia was turning.

Suna finally spoke, "Well she's not lying."

Elena reached out her hand to give Suna a high five. The pair laughed and went back to being quiet. They recieved a nasty glare from Alistair.

"I apologize for both of my girlfriends behavior." Alistair flicked both of them lightly on the knee. "What kind of punishment would suffice?"

"How about an IOU?" Lyvia smiled and pulled out her phone. "Give me your number and I might redeem it someday."

Alistair shrugged. "I would but my phone was destroyed recently." he shot Suna a smile. "Ah, but I can give you her number and she can relay the message." he pointed at Elena.

Elena realized the situation she put herself in and couldn't help but frown.

Lyvia handed Alistair her phone, "Put your name in and ill get the number from her."

Alistair put his name in her phone with the heart emoji and the kissing emoji. He handed the phone back and watched her reaction with a smile.

Lyvia's face had turned red "to big indeed." she said with a smile. She got Elena's number before walking back to her table. Thunderchicken was furious.

Alistair got up and proceeded to walk out of the restaurant with the girls following. He let them walk in front of him as they talked and got along. "You never answered my question about Ascendia." Alistair spoke over Elena.

"We can go if you'd like?" Elena said this nonchalantly.

"How do we go about getting there?" Alistair was shocked it was that easy.

"I know a Sigil we can use that would send us there." it was Suna who spoke this time. "It's how I traveled here originally. We can go there when we get back to the house if you would like." Suna eas excited to show Alistair something new for a change.

He thought about this for a moment before speaking, "Is there anything special I should know before hand?"

"Be prepared for a culture shock, I was sent here back in the 70's and almost exposed my true self. Thats a story for another time." Elena said this like it wasn't a problem. "Technology doesn't work in Ascendia. Magic replaces that and everything is pretty primitive." Elena turned to face Alistair and continued walking backwards, "All the stories of mythology and what not, exist in that plane of space. Except it's not modern at all. Worse case scenario we just zip back here and live a happy life together."

Alistair nodded his head slowly as he absorbed all the info. "Sounds good, we can leave later tonight after some preparations."

They arrived at the parking garage and noticed they were the only ones still there. Alistair looked around as a feeling of unease knocked on the door of his mind. Suna and Elena were quiet as the feeling crept into them. The silence was interrupted by a ringing phone, Elena scrambled to grab it from her pocket. She frowned and handed it to Alistair.

"Hello?" Alistair waited for a response.

"Reedeming my IOU." was all he heard before a flash of light Infiltrated his senses.

He leapt into action and grabbed the girls blindly. He noticed one wasn't in his arms and he was filled with worry. He regained his vision and saw thunderchicken with Elena over his shoulder.

"The clan of Anubis is requesting an audience and they won't take no for an answer. You have 5 days." Thunderchicken disappeared with another flash of light.

"FUCK." Alistair screamed at any who would listen. He released Suna and made his way to the scorch mark on the ground. His hair stood on end as electricity filled the air. "I swear I'm going to kill them all. I should've made an example of him." He was pacing back and forth.

Suna could feel Alistair's Aura, she was worried he would explode. She ran over and held him tightly. A drop had landed on her cheek, she looked up to see Alistair crying. She was overwhelmed at seeing this and just held him.

"She trusted me and I couldnt protect her." his voice didn't crack but tears were still falling. He embraced Suna and let his Aura fade to nothing.

"Let's go home and prepare, we were going to Ascendia anyways." Suna spoke softly to the sobbing man. She placed her hands in his and dragged him back to the Jeep. "We'll get her back."

Alistair only nodded and opened the door for her. After she hopped in, he walked to his side and started the car. The drive home was a silent one, Suna only took her hand off his lap to get out and even after that she would meet him halfway.

Hours passed before they were completely ready to go. The duo made their way to the backyard where Suna traced the Sigil in the earth. They stepped in and held each other. Alistair kissed Suna and held her face close to his. She blushed and looked into his eyes.

"Once I add a drop of my blood it'll activate and we will be taken to Ascendia. Is there anything we need before we go?" Suna winced as she pricked her thumb. She backed away from Alistair.

"Let's go." Alistair was ready for whatever would be thrown his way.

Suna touched her thumb to the earth and watched as the Sigil started glowing. Before anything could be said they had vanished.

The pair arrived in an open field beneath the night sky. Alistair's eyes blinked wildly as he adjusted to the darkness. He felt at home in the night and almost immediately was able to see his surroundings.

"Ali are you there?" Suna's voice was shaky.

"Im here, come to my voice. Closer, closer, almost there. Bingo you got it." He smiled as Suna's head landed perfectly on his chest. He interlocked his hands with hers.

Suna was a hot mess as she felt his embrace. She couldnt help but smile. "We need to find a nearby village and rent a room." Suna composed herself.

Alistair front loaded the backpack he brought and kneeled in front of Suna. "I want you to get on my back, I can see in the dark so our movement will be quicker if i carry you."

Suna nodded and jumped onto his back. She had to reposition herself as he stood up. After getting settled she looked up at the stars and smiled. It was truly a beautiful night.

"I see a glow in the distance, im gonna head that way and hope we find a place to stay." Alistair began trekking through the grass in the direction of what he thought was a town.

Elena rested her head on his shoulder and looked off into the distance. She sat like this for a time before they entered the city.

Alistair stepped into the light and realized it was given off by magic crystals hanging from beams along the front of the city. He wasnt expecting the sheer size of the City and walked around in amazement. The couple were given weird looks from the locals as they hadnt changed out of the clothes they brought with them. He set Suna down and realized she was in her Kitsune form, her ears and tail were a rich crimson color.

"Is there something wrong with me?" her ears slumped down as if she was sad.

"Nothing wrong at all, I really like the real you." He lightly grabbed her tail and immediately let it go. "Im so sorry."

Suna let out a light moan, "That's fine." she was blushing as she turned away. She leaned into Alistair as they walked through the primitive city.

Alistair didnt mind Suna being so close, he didnt want to lose her either. He saw they were getting closer to sign hanging over a door that said 'The Meady Ogre'. Suna seemed to be leading them into this building so he followed.

A sudden warm air surrounded Alistair as audible cheering filled his senses. The establishment was packed to the brim with drunken folks, some were even clad in armor and had swords.

"Did i stumble back in time, holy shit." Alistair thought to himself. He weaved through the crowd after Suna.

"How much for a room?" Suna asked the Satyr.

The man with horns like a goat and a lower torso with hooves turned towards the womans voice. "Two copper pieces will cover the night." The goat man passed out several drinks before returning to grab the copper. "Here is the key to the room, I also suggest you two get different clothing, not many folks like Drifters."

Suna ignored the Satyr and grabbed Alistair. She pulled him up the stairs to the room the goat assigned them.

Alistair shut the door behind him, "What exactly is a Drifter and where did you get money?" He sat on the uncomfortable bed next to Suna.

"I'm a fox, I simply found this money and claimed it." Suna jumped on Alistair with a smile. She planted her lips on his and kissed him lovingly.

He placed his hands on her thighs as she sat on his lap. "I believe that's called theft." Alistair looked approvingly at the sly little fox.

"They won't even know i took a few copper." She wrapped her arms around his neck and looked into his eyes. "A Drifter is what we are, we came from your world into this one. Its frowned upon to leave or enter this world but not against any rules."

Alistair fell onto the bed, Suna was now looking down at him. "First thing in the morning we should probably try and blend in."

He ran his fingers up and down her sides lightly.

She couldnt help but quiver, "That sounds splendid." it came out as a weak whisper. She wanted Alistair so bad but she couldnt have him without Elena. "You need to ease up on the teasing." she buried her head into his shoulder.

"Why is that?" He didnt stop tracing her alluring curves.

"As much as I hate to say it." Suna gave him a kiss that would melt his sword. "I enjoy sharing you with Elena." she kissed his cheek before burying herself back into his shoulder.

"I can respect that. It wouldn't be the same without her." he hugged Suna tightly. The pair slowly drifted off to sleep.

"Boy, Its nice to see that you're finally home."

The shadow was speaking to Alistair.

"Look, if you're going to fuck with my mind, the least you could do is buy me dinner." Alistair was annoyed with the constant interference of the shadow.

"Hahaha, my son has humor." The shadow eased his laughter before speaking again.

"The clan of Anubis is sly, be careful as to what you say. Go with a black rose, and the whole process will be smoother." the shadow's lip curled into a gross fanged smile.

"Why the rose?" Alistair asked with all sorts of confusion written on his face.

"I cant spoil the surprise." The shadow walked away from Alistair. "It'll help you with your growth."

Alistair heard the latch of the bedroom door unlock and immediately shot up.

"Sorry, I didnt mean to wake you." the stunning woman bowed in front of Alistair. Her golden hair fell from her shoulders as she leaned forward. "We don't get many Drifters so I just wanted to steal a look, I didnt mean to startle you."

Alistair noticed he was alone in the room, "Where is the fox i was traveling with." he still hadnt moved.

"She said she was running to the shops this morning and would return shortly." The woman stood up straight and made eye contact with the rooms resident.

Alistair eyed the intruder carefully. He noticed she had a set of sharp ears and jade colored eyes. Her skin was a clear olive color. He couldnt help but notice she was absolutely stunning. "Is the Anubis Clan in this city?" Alistair was finally able to find his words.

"The head family of the clan does reside in Kilroc City." the woman nodded.

"Does the name Lyvia Weiss mean anything here?" He was referring to the girl who dialed in the IOU.

"Lady Lyvia is part of the Anubis clan. Her grandfather is a direct descendant of Anubis himself. Is there anything else I could help you with?" The woman gave him a warm smile.

"Nah, that's all I needed to know." He got up and stretched. "Actually, personal question. Are you an elf?"

"Yes, I was sold off as a slave to the Satyr who manages this place." She looked down as she said this, obviously ashamed.

"Can i get your name?" Alistair stuck his hand out for a handshake.

She returned the gesture, "Miasatra helford."

"Well Mia, as soon as i finish my business with the Anubis folks, im gonna return to either buy you out or kill the Satyr. You'll be free soon." Alistair have her a warm smile.

Mia blushed, nobody had ever spoken to her like that.

"Hope I'm not interrupting something special." Suna squeezed between the elf and the door. "Thank you for checking up on him, here's a copper piece."

Mia bowed again and closed the door behind her. She leaned against the wall and smiled at the thought of her freedom.

"I got you something special!" Suna was dancing with glee. She sat the burlap sack she was holding down in front of Alistair with a thud.
