Chapter 2: Painful Past

"Why don't we have a seat, all of us?" Jayson's father asked. Sodelle walks towards him and said "Tito, pasensya na po, pero okay lang po ba na lumabas kayo nila tita at ate? may pag-uusapan lang po kami nang mga Kapatid ko po, wag po kayo mag-alala, maiwan naman po si Kuya Jayson" she pleased his father in Filipino and left to buy some groceries. Meanwhile, all of them were left in the living room, since no one was talking, Jayson started to ask them a question "Why are you here? What do you want from Sodelle?"

Three men looked away as they want to avoid the question, but the four didn't pay attention to him, instead, their eyes are focused on Sodelle, "If you think to give me that look will make me come back, you're sadly mistaken cause I'm not going anywhere." she said while raising her eyebrows. Then Doc sighs with a depressed expression and feels bad, she looks at her in the eyes "Look, what happened two years ago, it's already over, we know and we get it we're all jerks and we should've listened to you, I'm sorry, we're all sorry" he kneels on the floor apologizing for several while the others do the same thing, all but one, Grumpy.

He suddenly stands up and dashes out of the house with a serious and upset face. "Seems like he doesn't wanna apologize like you guys did, What's his problem? What in the world happened anyway? I need an explanation" Jayson wondered and asked. Then a man named Happy sits right next to Jayson while Sodelle catches up with Grumpy, "Well let's just say we were all apologizing on behalf of his sociopathic stubbornness, because what happened two years ago was practically his fault, he had it pretty hard when he heard what happened to her..." Happy stopped before he continued what happened to Sodelle, but Jayson insisted him to continue the story and nods, Happy looked at him, he chuckled weakly and sighs.

Happy continues, "She was a freshman high school kid, she's been doing well at school, made some friends and loves P.E. class, but then she started to change because two boys at school bullied and beat her up, even take her stuff and throw trash at her, she comes home beaten up and dirty, she probably tried to ask us for help but one day she came home and we weren't home yet except Grumpy, of course, that prick. anyway she came home and the first she sees is him, she walked up to him and asked for help, he was stressed at that time and he got irritated, pushed her and tells her to back off, then he told her to handle the problem herself, said she doesn't need to bother anyone else, and then he called her a useless weak dog. That son of a bitch. she tried to handle it herself and didn't ask any of us for help no thanks to him, she was still being bullied though, nothing ever changed. Then a few months later it was her sixteenth birthday and you were there as her photographer, but I guess you didn't get the news, but it happened after the party, some of our brothers went home and the rest of us were left behind to find Sodelle and bring her home, she told us she was going to look for something she lost, she looked for it until she got taken by those two brats, they gagged and tied her up, took her out deep out in the forest and left her alone in the dark. We searched for her that night at the party until we realized that she's been gone too long, we called our brother who went home and told our parents then they called the authorities, we searched again from the party to the forest where she was been taken to, and as we went deep into the forest we found the knot that tied unto her, she must've gotten herself free but we were shocked when we saw a lot of blood on the ground and also in the knot, we got worried and scared that she might've got hurt so we called our friends who knew our little sister and helped us, our parents were worried sick that time that they couldn't sleep. It was a long night for us but we didn't stop, although it was already dawn and still no signs of her. But it was strange, cause she was actually at home, standing in front of the door, but we came from the back when we got home, and as soon as we went inside the house Grumpy was standing right in front of the door, we were wondering what he was doing, I tried to call him but then I noticed a silhouette and looked what's in front of him, it was Sodelle, we saw her just standing still, but when we tried to get close to her we noticed... No, we were surprised, terrified to be exact, because that was the day she became something else."
