Chapter 5: Tarocco Shop

Sodelle was surprised by what's happening at this moment, "I'm sorry but... who are you? How do you know me?" she asked the lady, then the lady said while she holds her hand "I know we just met, you don't know me for sure, but I do. Especially when you look just like your mother" while saying those words she shed a lot of tears and wipes them away, then they both were startled when the boys came in the shop looking confused.

At the table, the lady serves them tea and biscuits and sat with them as well, Jayson took a sip of his tea and was fascinated "Wow... this tea tastes amazing, I've never tasted something like this before, what tea did you use?" he asked, the lady chuckled and got a bit flattered of what he said, she looks at him with a kind smile "Oh my, it's just dried orange tea, it was her mother's favorite when she was here, she loves it too", Grumpy got curious about what she said that made her look odd and suspicious, he puts down his cup and asks straight - forward "okay, I'm sorry to interrupt your sentimental and awkward moment with my sister whom you just met, but how do you know her mother? Who exactly are you?" he asked.

The woman scoffs and rolls her eyes with a heavy sigh, "Oh where are my manners? My apologies, my name is Rosario Petra, I was born in Spain and raised in London. This shop was passed on to me when my mother died. I knew your sister's mother, Sodelle am I right? I know this is sudden to tell you, but I'm also her Godmother", the boys looked at her in disbelief and slowly looks at Sodelle.

She was also surprised and confused at the same time, she asked Rosario "if you are my godmother where were you? why didn't you come to get me?" she looks at her in the eye, hoping that what she says is true and if she can also trust what she is saying, she doesn't know what to do at all but wonder and tries to keep her cool and finally stays calm breathes quietly. But then Rosario said something unexpected to her, "I see you have something for me?" Sodelle came to her senses and reaches out the tarot decks from her bag along with the guidebook and placed it on the table, Jayson was surprised and knew what it was, he didn't look pleased and got upset about it "What the heck!? Twinie where did you get this? who?..." Dopey and Grumpy on the other hand did nothing but watched them both and observed, although Grumpy focuses on Rosario more.

"This was sent to you by a mysterious person, that happened to me and your mother a long time ago, but that person means no harm, that is all I can tell you... But as you can see, I am a tarot reader, It's a small business that I do when I have time, I help people who are in need, the good ones, and I know your friend is aware that I am also a witch that does this ungodly thing. And a few decades ago, when I was learning about tarot reading your mother was amazed and fascinated by what I do, she also promised me that when I pass tarot reading she'll give me a gift, and I think she meant this... She always kept her word".

she opens the box and shuffles the cards for seconds then spreads them on the table and asks Sodelle "did something happen to you earlier this morning?" Dopey rolled his eyes and lost his patience, making him angrier and infuriated "Are you kidding me? We're the ones asking the questions earlier, and now you get to ask? especially to our little sister?" they ignored him and ticks him off, despite that, Jayson, on the other hand, feels nervous about his best friend.

Sodelle took a deep breath and answers "I almost collapsed a few hours ago back at the Manor" the boys were caught by surprise and their heads and made feel more worried about her, she continued "it all happened so quickly, but I saw some flashes, it's all blurry for a moment then I heard a voice, a woman's voice... ugh, that's all I could remember" Rosario tries to understand and then asks her again, "Okay, I shuffled the cards already, now all I need you to do is pick three cards please?" Sodelle looks down all the cards that shuffled and spread on the table, without thinking twice she pulled out three cards carefully, and places them beside each other.

As soon as Rosario tries to flip the cards, Sodelle phone rang and broke the tension of the room that made Dopey frightened, she apologizes and takes out her phone. She didn't realize that it's almost past lunchtime, then Grumpy stands and fixes his suit, he looks at Rosario "I believe the time is up ma'am, I'm sorry but we must be on our way, I'll give you my number if you want to give her a call" he announced, he gave his card with his number on it, as she received it Grumpy signals Dopey to leave with Jayson. Now he, Rosario and Sodelle are left behind, and before they leave, Rosario calls her and runs up to her, she gives her her number, "If you need anything, just give me a call okay?" she said, Sodelle just nods and walks towards the door, Grumpy opens the door for her and left, while Rosario sits on the table and flips the card slowly, she didn't expect what she is seeing within the cards.

At the parking lot, Sodelle sees her best friend at the car beside the driver's seat, Grumpy pats her in the back and goes to his car with Dopey, she took a deep breath and went to her car and drives on. It was a weird day for her, an unexpected turn of events, even for her best friend who is also surprised, but he's much more worried as well as she looks at her while driving. She notices him looking at her all day, she sighed and asked "Is there something you wanna say twinie? If so I'd spell it out, you've stared at me all day" Jayson looks down on his camera and fiddles with it, after a few minutes he mustered up and tells her "Okay you know those things are ungodly and evil yet you still let her play the cards, you don't even know this woman, what if she saying is a lie? What was that all about? You didn't even tell your brother a lie earlier saying you just have jet lag or something... that's just... Please say something" he looked worried and sorry for raising his voice on her, but then he's getting the feeling of something eerie and uneasy silence gave him chills what she's about to say.

Sodelle, on the other hand, looked serious and slows down for a bit, she grabs her phone and texts, someone, for a second and finishes quickly, she tossed the phone on the back seat and says to Jayson "Let's just order takeout for lunch, my treat"
