"Oh, yes, please," Dara breathed, relief washing over her. "And Jason? You have him, too?"

"Damn straight. He's the head honcho who has a rep for being very dangerous and without a conscience. The feds have got him tucked away with a full complement of guards while they put together the formal charges. This isn't something he'll be able to wriggle out of. I doubt he'll ever see a day outside prison for the rest of his life."

Dara did not realize how tense she'd been listening or how much she needed to hear that, until all the tension eased from her body as if someone had pulled a plug.

"We're very grateful to you," Zane told Derek, taking Dara's hand in one of his.
