Chapter 98: Goodbye, Part 1

Bilal sat at his kitchen table drinking a mug of hot tea. The monitor showed his friend Raj who looked equally as tired. It had been hours since their son had cut off his tentacle. He was stable and under the watchful eyes of Carmella, Henry and Bilal's parents.

"Thank you two for letting the monitors stay on." Raj said. Bilal nodded. "I want to know more about Raj. I want to know everything about him."

Bilal rubbed a tired hand through his head. "He has traits that aren't just Centaurian." He explained about his development of a new set of tentacles.

Raj leaned forward in awe. "He fended off a pack of wolves at just one year old?"

"He was a toddler. More like a three year old than a one year old. He's always been older than his earth years."

"He's a remarkable boy," Raj said softly.

"He is." Bilal agreed. "I want to tell you everything about him. But…you should call him. He'd like to tell you himself I think."
