Pepper writes stories that span the gamut from humorous to heartfelt, however the common theme is crossing boundaries. The Miseducation of Riley Pranger

Riley stared at her for so long that Stella wondered if he hadn‘t lost it. 


Riley suddenly couldn‘t breath. "Stella." He finally spoke. "What are you telling me? Are you telling me that I have a kid?" He stood up before she could reply. He paced in one direction while holding his palms against his head. And then he stopped and paced in the opposite direction. He stopped long enough to look at Stella with wide, searching eyes before beginning the process of pacing all over again.


"Jasmine." He suddenly stopped and looked at Stella again. "Why would she do that? Why would she fucking do that?!"


Stella shook her head. "I don‘t know Riley."


He placed his hands on the table and shook his head in denial. He looked at her and swallowed, trying to gain control. "How do you know this?"


"It was in the letter that Jasmine left for me. She left one for me and another for Adam, after the adoption was final.
