A Seal Upon Your Heart

Tim discreetly watched Martier while they were on the flight. They didn't sit next to each other as the attorneys and partners paired off with each other and the assistants did the same. Claudette, Lois, Diana, and Martier were in one group while Jakob and Elaina held hands and seemed comfortable with each other. 


Before boarding Elaina had approached them. "Hi, Martier. About dinner. I want to apologize, especially to you. I know I made a bad impression. The only explanation I have is that I haven't been myself lately."


Martier always felt uncomfortable when someone humbled themselves in front of her. She was happy that Elaina apologized, but now she wanted to close that chapter and move on. 


"It's fine and I appreciate your apology." She gestured to Tim. "Why don't you two talk? I'll get something to drink."
