War Part Three

Necra was standing in front of Akasan, Mugen, and Narumi. He spoke. "Personally, I have no grudge or hate against humans. All I have for you now is pity. Such is war."

Mugen turned to Narumi. "We have to leave. Now." He pulled her arm.

Narumi hit it away. "No!! I will not turn my back on my country and the people who need me. People are dying and have died already. I refuse to go hide when I know I can help!!"

Mugen stood straight. "I hope you know what you're doing princess."

She nodded firmly. "I do."

Akasan was closest to Necra. He stared him in the eyes.

"I wanna ask you a question." Akasan said. "If your side won this war, what would happen?"

Necra watched the boy speak, then smirked. "It would mean the end for all humans on this planet. Gods will rise to power once again."

Narumi whispered to Mugen. "Cover Akasan. I'll provide long range fire."

Mugen nodded.

Narumi extended her hands, her Kodak Circle appearing in front of her.

Mugen walked up next to Akasan. He noticed the boy was shaking. He placed a hand on his shoulder. "Scared?"

Akasan hesitantly nodded. "He's a god. He's stronger than us."

Mugen looked at Necra. "Yeah but he's still just one person. We have a chance. Try to focus."

Akasan took a deep breath. "Okay."

Akasan released his crimson fire. His hair and eyes were bright crimson now that he could control his energy. So were his clothes.

Necra spun his staff around and pointed it at the three. "I will be attacking now." He swung the staff.

A dark wave of energy expelled from it, ripping the ground up as it traveled.

Mugen swung his arm, sending off a similar wave of white wind energy. It neutralized Necra's attack.

Akasan ran towards him, attempting to connect a hit. Necra dodged him without giving him a glance. After dodging, he slammed his staff into Akasan, blowing him away.

Necra was focused on Mugen.

Narumi shot a few blasts of magic, forcing Necra to move from his spot. When he moved, Mugen was in front of him balling his fist. "Wind Art! Howling Air Shot!" He threw his punch.

Necra dodged, but the wind pressure blew him far into the air. The wind howled with intensity.

Akasan jumped towards Necra. "Crimson Flare!!" He spun around and kicked him in the body.

A large flare of crimson fire emitted on impact.

As Akasan descended, Necra recovered and aimed his staff at him. "Sphera Mortis."

The orb floating inside of the circle on Necra's staff glowed a deep purple. Energy emitted from it and created a ball of dark energy. He shot it towards Akasan.

Akasan braced himself for impact but Narumi countered it with a high-charged magic blast.

There was an explosion.

Akasan successfully landed on the ground and looked up to find Necra, but he wasn't there.

Mugen desperately looked around but didn't see him either.

Akasan turned around.

Necra had just appeared behind Narumi.

Akasan immediately started sprinting in her direction as fast as his legs would take him. "I'm not gonna make it!! Narumi!!!"

Mugen looked over to her. "Princess!!"

Narumi spun around to look behind herself but Necra swiftly slammed his staff into her body. "If I kill the princess, the other Knights will lose their wills to continue on."

Narumi was flung several meters to the right. She landed on her face, unmoving.

Akasan was running as fast as he could, but he was so far away. "Come on, come on, let me make it there!! Move body, MOVE!!"

The markings on Akasan's arm turned from crimson to bright blue.

Narumi regained her consciousness. "Ugh... my head..." She remembered what just happened. Regaining her urgency, Narumi looked up at Necra.

Mugen was flying at high speed to reach Narumi as Necra aimed his staff.

"Sphera Mortis."

Mugen saw a flash of blue pass in front of him. "What?" He followed the direction the flare moved in.

In less than two seconds Akasan had gotten close to Necra, pulled out his sword, and cut his arm clean off. He then ran over to Narumi.

Narumi stood up. She stared at Akasan in shock.

Mugen couldn't believe his eyes. "Akasan's only twelve, not even thirteen years old! He hasn't been a Knight for even two years, yet he can move like that?!"

Akasan's hair, eyes, and clothes were still crimson red from his own energy, but his arm's markings were bright blue. It was emitting blue flares of energy. Akasan looked the princess' way. "Narumi, you okay?"

Narumi was staring wide-eyed at his arm. "That energy..." She gave him a simple nod and stood up.

Necra was still standing there holding his arm in pain, trying to keep the blood from leaking.

Mugen finally caught up to Narumi and Akasan.

Everyone was watching Necra, but Necra was looking at Akasan. "Boy... where did you get that energy from? What are you planning?! Who are you...?"

Akasan thought about it. "I don't know what happened, but for some reason I don't feel any fear right now. Personally, I don't have a grudge or hatred against you gods. All I have for you now is pity. Such is war."

Necra's eyes widened. He reached down to grab his staff.

Mugen balled his fist. "Wind Art: Howling Air Shot!!!"

poom!!

Necra managed to dodge the majority of the blow but was thrown into the air regardless.

Akasan moved on instinct. He left a faint trail of blue flares in his wake. He quickly followed Necra and prepared to strike.

Necra on the other hand, no longer had his weapon. He reached out his hand, charging a sphere of dark energy.

Akasan jumped way high up in the air, getting himself closer to Necra.

Necra shot his energy sphere at Akasan.

In one swift movement, Akasan spun his body in the air, dodging the projectile and sliced Necra's belly open with his sword. He landed on his feet as Necra's body flopped to the ground. The orb of dark energy hit the ground as well, exploding on impact.

Akasan's arm started glowing more intensely. He ran back towards Narumi, who was currently speechless. "Narumi, I need to help the others. A god is over there. I can feel it."

"You know what god energy feels like?" Narumi asked.

"I don't know, but I can feel it. It doesn't feel human."

Narumi gave him a thoughtful and hesitant look. "Akasan... you're the one that doesn't feel human right now. Don't you know?" she thought.

Narumi looked eastward. "They're that way right?"

Akasan nodded, "Yeah. There's one god and a few others."

Narumi extended her hands. She winced from pain.

"Princess! You're hurt!" Mugen alarmingly said.

There was a tear in Narumi's clothing where Necra's staff hit her. It was bruised.

"I probably broke a rib or two. Doesn't matter though." she said.

Narumi regained her composure. "Kodak Circle!"

A large golden circle formed.

She looked at Akasan. "Hop on the circle and jump off of it as hard as you can, I'll push you. Mugen, help me out!"

Mugen nodded and extended both of his hands. A ball of air compressed behind the circle.

Narumi looked back at her circle. Akasan jumped on to it. It was pointed at the sky in the eastward direction. He focused his crimson energy into his legs.

Narumi started counting. "On my mark! Three! Two! One! Now!!"

foom!!

Narumi launched Akasan as he jumped, and Mugen's compressed air propelled him forward. The ground cracked on impact. And just like that Akasan was gone.

---

Agaki and Fujitora finished clearing off the remaining humanoids. All of the remaining Alphas with them were killed.

"We should get back to Kuro and the others." Fujitora said.

Agaki was out of breath. "Right, gimme a second though. I basically did all the work here, you know."

Fujitora started flying upwards. "I specialize in defense. I did my job. Now come on!"

Agaki and Fujitora defeated over 100,000 humanoids by themselves.

Fujitora defended himself and Agaki against the attacking Bio-Humans, while Agaki used his various abilities to clear them all up. It took them a while because they had to watch out for their comrades, but in the end they couldn't save a single one of them.

Akasan was propelling through the air. "This would have been way easier if I knew how to fly like everyone else."

He looked at his arm. "I've got a new power... I feel like a different person. My fear is just... gone."

Akasan was zeroing in on Kyo's group. He scanned the battlefield and got the gist of what just went down. He'd gotten angry. He saw Ryuga holding up a ball of bright white energy in front of Ako, who looked distraught.

Kyo looked like he'd lost it.

Kuro was unconscious, and Maki and Tenma were dead.

Akasan pulled out his sword. His arm started putting out even more blue energy. As he descended, he aimed himself straight for Ryuga. He pushed his sword deep into his side.

Ryuga was being pushed away, he let out a grunt. He moved his eyes to his right.

"GET AWAY FROM THEM!!" Akasan roared. As Akasan pierced Ryuga, he used the momentum from being shot through the air to ram his shoulder into Ryuga as well. He pulled out his sword.

On impact Ryuga was thrown into a random rock on the battlefield.

Akasan landed on the ground breathing heavily. He looked at Ako. "You alright?"

The normally tough and gritty Ako was now all messed up. She just airily nodded her head.

Akasan walked over to Kyo. He bent down to his level. "Sensei? You okay?" he said in a gentle tone.

Kyo lowered his eyes. "I don't deserve to be called anyone's sensei."

Akasan stood back up. He couldn't do anything about it.

Kyo had lost his will to fight.

Ryuga emitted a burst of energy for a quick moment to blow up the rock he was in. It exploded into bits. He excitedly pumped both of his fists. "Alright!! A new player has been added to the game!"

Agaki and Fujitora flew in at this time. They landed by Kuro's body.

"What... happened here?" Agaki asked. He couldn't believe the state of the battle. He checked Kuro for a pulse.

Kuro was alive.

Fujitora's face softened at the sight of Tenma and Maki. He turned to Agaki. "What should we do?"

Agaki thought on it for a moment. "Our two strongest fighters are out of commission. It's gonna have to be just me and Akasan. Fujitora you have to get everyone else away from here."

Fujitora usually would have talked against an order like this, but he nodded. He clasped his hands together. "Rock Clone!"

Five clones of himself formed out of the ground. They each took someone. One took Kyo, another took Kuro, the third one grabbed Ako, and the last two took Maki and Tenma back to Arbok City.

Agaki stood in front of Akasan. He looked back. "Can you keep up?"

Akasan nodded. "I think so."

"Alright, I'm counting on you."

Ryuga got even more excited. "I'm getting fired up again!! Ouch..." He winced at the hole in his side.

Agaki analyzed the situation. "He's obviously hurt. I'm assuming he's a god. When you attack, keep to his right side. I'm betting on the chance of him reacting even the slightest bit slower on that side."

Akasan prepared himself. "Got it."

Agaki's eyes lit yellow. "Alright then, just follow my lead."
