Aftershock, Part One

"However, I wanted to give you a warning. The Alphas will try to kill you."

Lance's face was completely serious.

"The Alphas want to kill me? For what?"

Romeo shrugged. "Who knows?"

Akasan crossed his arms. "Okay, but where did you get this information from?"

Luke held up his hand. "I have the Flame Djinn Agni. I can read the emotional flames of others. The Alphas all hold a severe animosity towards you."

"I'll keep that in mind then. Thanks for the warning."

Luke nodded. Him, his brother, and Romeo walked away after bowing respectfully.

The only person left was Konami. She blankly stared at Akasan, not blinking at all.

Akasan looked to his left and right, then back at her. "Did you… need something?"

She shook her head.

"So… why are you staring at me?"

There was a short silence.

"I like ice cream."

Akasan turned around. "I've… gotta go now."
