Chapter 77

Kathrine ran into the bedroom and grabbed her phone off the bedside table. She scrolled through the address book and found Sarah's name. Sarah could help her. She hated interrupting their honeymoon, but this was important. What was more, she could just imagine the anger on Sarah's face if she didn't tell her about Michael's visit.

The phone rang and rang, but no one answered. Kathrine was depressed. She needed her step-mom. Kathrine put the phone down and jumped when it started ringing.

"What did you need, honey?" Sarah's calming voice asked from the other side. Kathrine struggled to contain her emotions, but hearing Sarah's voice pulled it all out, and she started to cry.

"Michael was here, and Paul is in trouble. I don't know what's going on and I need you," Kathrine sobbed.

There was silence on the other side for a moment then Kathrine could hear Sarah's commanding voice.

"Pack your things, we're heading home!" Sarah yelled to Mark.
