D.S. TOSSELL is an emotional roller coaster of a reader. She loves any kind of book that will make her laugh, make her cry and more importantly make her think. She is a nut for all things holiday. Loves to cook but cannot bake. She loves to relax and hang out with her husband and watch movie marathons. When she is not writing her newest emotionally driven book she is chasing around her two small children.

It only takes five words to drag me back to the desolate dry land of Afghanistan. Five simple words and I'm seeing the blast of gunfire behind my head. Five words and I see her drop right in front of my eyes. Five words causes me to lose myself and revert back into the soldier they made me. Five words.

"And here at Silver Creek High School, we try to make all accommodations for all the students and faculty as we can, but the truth is, we just don't have the kind of funding for your project." Mr. Malley, the school principal crosses his fingers, elbows pointed upright on his enormous desk.


"Please don't give me the typical political answer on why the school needs more money. It's simple. This program helps students that are failing, catch back up again. If you don't have any failing students, you get more money."
