Chapter 83

Title: Newspaper...

-Jaw POV-

After that little threat against Mihawk, I couldn't help but smile a little. By now, not even someone like Mihawk would like challenging me. To be a Yonko, it doesn't necessarily mean to be strong. Yonko is just a given title, that is all there is to it, though it is a common trait amongst the Yonko to have personal power and their crew to be strong too. 

I think back during the canon timeline of how Luffy was recognized as a Yonko. Black Beard, Big Mom, and Kaido can b*tch about it as much as they want. They don't decide who gets to become a Yonko anyway so their opinion doesn't matter. I mean Black Beard had some impressive feats and all that, but was Luffy any less? At least from the perspective of the public he wasn't. 

He destroyed Ennies lobby, of course, it was because of the Buster Call, but the World Government will never admit to that. He is the only person to ever create such a massive break out from Impel Down, he is also the person who stood next to Whitebeard, freed Ace, and even took a hit from Sengoku. He even confronted the tree admirals by himself and lived to tell the tale. He also defeated most of the Shichibukai and even has one of them join his crew. He even has a loyal armada of 5000 members under him. The whole thing in Whole Cake Island is also a perspective thing, as he truly did go and wreak havoc in Big Mom's territory and he also suffered no losses so to say.

From the view of the public, this is absolutely terrifying and Luffy already has the deeds needed to become an Emperor of the Sea. After all the damn thing is a title, not some level of power. I used to make this assumption in my first life too, this world doesn't have such a thing as Yonko level. It's like saying someone is president level of smart… 

Also, even the Yonko can be defeated by some normal (in comparison) people. For example, if the circumstances were right, someone like Magellan could defeat Big Mom. Why? Because of his poison, it isn't as if his poison will stop working just because Big Mom has a title or something like that. That is why I have understood when living in this world for thirty years, fighting is more like a game of rock-paper-scissors than anything else. That is why I can be everyone's worst counter because I am strong and I am a fishman. Even against someone like Shanks who hasn't eaten a Devil Fruit, I would have an advantage against him in almost everywhere in the world. I can drown him the same way I would drown any other human.

But anyway, I stop my mind from wandering to things like this. I am gonna be meeting the man who makes Yonko and Pirate Kings. I would call him the most powerful man in the world... in a way.

But while Jaw was doing that and meeting 'important' people and discussing certain things with them. Naruto and the rest of the Strawhat crew were close to Cocoyashi island and were eating some food made by Sanji. 

"You are a really good cook Sanji." Says Naruto as he grabs some meat and eats it. 

Except for Sanji and Dead Cat, the other members all don't have to table manners. Dead Cat uses its tail by grabbing a knife to delicately cut the meat. Currently, their boat was kind of small but Naruto was able to find a table inside his personal storage and used some nails to tail it to the boat and they were all eating.

The shock from Naruto's parentage already passed over and Dead Cat did tell them that Naruto had actually ran away from home and his father doesn't know about it. He will most likely bring back Naruto if he figures out where Naruto is. But Naruto reassured them that his dad will let him do whatever he wants as long as he doesn't go around telling people that he is Jaw's son. They all agreed that this is a secret that must be kept between them… 

"So Naruto, do fishmen poop?" Asks Luffy out of nowhere. 

Sanji is immediately ticked off by that and kicks Luffy in the head. "Oy! Don't ask questions like that when we are eating!"

"Yes, they do."

"You too, don't answer so casually!" Screams Sanji at Naruto who answers the question so casually. 

Sanji was about to yell at them some more but soddenly a giant creature breaks through the water surface.

BOOOM!

It creates a wave as it does so and it splashes water around. Naruto, Zoro, and Sanji just turn their heads and look at the creature calmly. Usopp is absolutely terrified of this and even started screaming things like we are all gonna die and such… also while the others were distracted Luffy ate everyone's food except Dead Cat's as the cat almost stabbed Luffy's hand with a knife when he attempted to take his food.

Naruto smiles at this and happily says. "Woah! That looks like a sea monster from the Grand Line… kinda on the small side though."

The creature is a giant sea cow with a seal-like structure. He has a big round nose with a gold nose ring, cow-esque face, horns, and green spots throughout his body. 

"SMALL!?!?!" Exclaims Usopp, his fear evident on his face he looks back at Luffy and is about to beg him if they maybe don't have to go to the Grand Line, but he notices that there is nos food on the table and Luffy's mouth his full of food as he looks around innocently. "AHHHHH!!! LUFFY ATE ALL OF OUR FOOD."

Everyone looks back once again and sees Luffy… he is about to swallow his food but Naruto appears and grabs him by the throat. "Luffy! You bastard! How could you do this?!"

But as Naruto says that in the end he still adds. "Damn it! I should have been the one stealing everyone's food. Why didn't I think of that?!?!"

Momoo (the sea monster) looks at this all awkwardly too, not knowing what to say. In the end, since it doesn't know what to do it attacks the small ship. But before it can do so, the others notice this, and Naruto suddenly has an idea.

 "Let me handle this guys." Says Naruto as he jumps of the ship and lands on top of Momoo's head. "Well, little guy, you will make a nice pet."

As he says that he does an ax kick down on the creature's head.

Baam!

Momoo starts falling down immediately and Naruto jumps off its head and back into the ship with a smile on his face. Luffy clapped for him he told Naruto that it was a pretty cool landing that he just did.

Dead Cat just looks at Naruto and asks. "So you intended to tame that sea monster by force and make it drag our ship back to Cocoyashi Island right?"

"Yeah…" Says Naruto, confused by where Dead Cat is going with this.

The cat just points its paw at the creature and says. "You just knocked it out you stupid!"

"So?" Aks Naruto back, but he then suddenly realizes what that means. He scratches the back of his head and says. "Oh right! Sorry guys, tehee~"

"Don't try to act like a cute girl." Yells out Sanji in annoyance.

"Bahahahahah…" Luffy on the other hand laughs at this.

….

But while that was happening in East Blue, in the New World, Jaw's guest finally arrived. 

"Oh, sorry Jaw. I was just getting a new scoop for today. Some new rookies have started appearing." Said the weird bird looking, man.

Jaw smiles at that. "No big deal Morgans."

The man was "Big News" Morgans. The man who can make people all around the world dance to his heart's tune. He is the one and only news source around the world. The man who declared Gol D. Roger "Pirate King" and so much more...

'Power isn't only physivcal power.' Concludes Jaw. 'I could snap this guy's neck like a twig in less than a second. But he is more powerful than I in influencing the world.'

"So why did you call me for Jaw?" Asks Morgans. "The last time you called dear old me… you asked me to find Shiki for you."

Jaw smiles at that. He never would have been able to find Shiki the first time without the help of the man in front of him. Shiki forgot that he was getting a newspaper… and if you are getting one then Morgans knows your location.

"Oh, this time I called on you for something bigger." Says Jaw as a mysterious smile dorns on his face. This makes Morgans even more excited.

"Oh! I can feel the smell of the big news… cmon tell me Jaw… this curiosity is killing me."

We see that Jaw is having some mysterious deals behind the scenes now. Wonder what he is planning?😏
